Read this article, it's about the small radio station I work at. The corrupt copyright board is imposing ridiculous royalty fees on internet broadcasters. Almost every internet radio station will be forced to shut down. Pandora and last.fm will cease to exist. Even educational stations aren't immune if they are big.

Sign this petition and help do something about it!
 
fuck ill sign it thats sooo gay,internet radio is dope will this effect satilte radio too?
 
it will, but the satellite broadcasters have enough money to pay for the raised fees for the most part, still unfair though.
 
awsome if i lived in the states and had a zipcode i would do it.. but seeing as i live up here in canada... oh well
 
Jesus that sucks, I signed it, hopefully if NS radio grows large we will have the power of Canada on our side

i should have read this crap before i did it...

I respectfully request that Congress look into this matter and take action

to prevent it. Please understand that time is of the essence since the

new royalty rates are retroactive to *January 1, 2006* so they will cause

immediate bankruptcies if they become effective for even one day. Please

don't let the music die.

I signed this so long ago, probably a couple of times. I sent it to both of my congresspeople, and they both shot emails back to me saying they'd 'consider the matter', as always.
