Solving Rational Equations

6x + 4 = 2x + 2

___ ______ Comes out to be -3/2, 2

x+4 x - 1

2x = 1 + 1

__ _____ Comes out to be 1, 3

x+2 x2 -4

x2=x squared

This may be easier to read

6x + 4 = 2x + 2

___ ______ Answer = -3/2, 2

x+4 x - 1

2x = 1 + 1

__ _____ Answer = 1, 3

x+2 x2 -4

x2=x squared

hmm u sure those are the answers for the first one because i got 4 and -1 as the answers... i dont see anything i did wrong tho

cross multiply and your set

make sure to distribute thats the important thing... but its as simple as cross multiplying

ok, i havent tried this cuz i'm watchin tv, but i would start with multiplying everything by the denomenators, once done that, combine everything then factor

find the common denominators first, then simplify it, don't cross multiply first because they're not over the same denominator which will make your answer could out weird.

hahaha your asking people on ns for help with homework when half the people on here are procrastinating their homework.
