Help Persude my City to Build a Skatepark/Keep Ski Hill! (10/10)

Hey NSG. So basically my city is building a HUGE recreational sports area on and around an existing ski hill. Obviously the skiers aren't to happy about destroying the only ski hill that's not an hour away. We were all looking at the building plan yesterday and noticed there should be enough room for at least a skatepark. If you want more information I wrote a-lot on the "About this Petition" area.

definetly a good cause, its good to a city supporting some cool new things even if they conflict a bit. hope it works out in your favor
 
You don't even want to man... Its a dump, but if it gets destroyed we at least want some kind of other extreme sport to live on there!
 
I think the midwest ski film festival is in Milwaukee this year, I've never been there before but I heard they usually have a rail jam at Crystal Ridge. That's how I heard about it. I guess I'll stick with Wilmot then.

Best bet is to try and raise awareness in the area. Have you talked with the mayor or whatever local office holders can best help you?

Sometimes if you talk to them and show them some different parks, some feedback, some different styles, different companies, they'll be more likely to say yes since it's not as foreign to them.

Good luck. Hopefully they'll allow bikes if they do it.

 
if they do go though with the fields and no skatepark, you have to fertilizer prank the out-fields and the soccer pitches
 
I signed, but I don't really understand how that will make any difference to whether you get a skatepark or not. Why would your town care about people that aren't from your town, rather than making an online petition, you should hit the streets and get the locals to sign a real petition.
 
Yeah thats what im going to do after this reaches, 150. It was mainly just a litlle test to she if people really care.

They just built a plaza where I go to school and it's insane how much it brings people together. Definitely hope this passes, man.
 
Really the local level is the way to get things done.

The good thing is that there are always people willing to help out the kids. Just stay on top of it and hopefully something will happen.

you realize the construction is around the hill and the only effect is to benefit the hill by bringing more people into the area and also enhance the hill, skatepark is a different story.
 
yeah yeah i know i know, i heard they were destorying half the hill. Plus we dont want all these gay fricken baseball unnessacrcy feilds and shit there.
 
voted, hope everything works out. you should try to get a small summer rail set up made since they're removing the ski hill. offer to build it or something
