Ok so i got these skis in the mail today and the one heel piece is a little too loose for my liking.

Notice the difference between the two heelpiece below, what is that missing plastic piece?

here is a pic showing how far it will turn without a boot locked in

here is a pic showing how far it moves (very loosely) with a boot

i know they dont have brakes (they are coming) but will that fix the problem?

From the pics the bindings look fine. Assuming you can get the forward pressure right (back screw in the back flush with the inner most part of the recessed section) then they are surely fine structuraly. The piece that is missing just covers over a section of the brake, and brings a slightly shorter stop to the rotation of the heel, not a big deal its missing. Think about how the race style heel is, essentialy the same binding function wise, and you can swivel the heel around 360. Don't worry about it man.

ok so both heel pieces are off, both look at exact same minus the missing plastic piece BUT the one still wiggles...anyone else got an idea?

Mine wiggle i think. i'm pretty sure thats just the binding doing its job, and keeping your knee safe.

no i know they wiggle...i have one normal one that has normal wiggle...the other one wiggles like mad with a boot in it...not even under pressure

man i think that when u get the brake that should fix the problem because if u look at it it seems to me that the part of the binding that is missing the peice causing it to wiggle is a part of the missing brake. i reely hope that solves the problem for ya man.

defintely shouldnt move like that. continue riding them if youd like to die. The plastic piece, however, is purely functionless

i havent ridden them yet because of this and they are my urbans so its no hurry

Besides looking beat to shit, they don't look too bad. I don't think excessive wiggling would make them more dangerous, but just I don't think your connection will feel as solid.

they are not solid at all...when clicked in with a boot on ithe yhave like and inch and 1/2 of play

Sorry I'm out of answers. I'm assuming you've slid the bindings forward to where they should meet your heelpiece seeing they were mounted up for someone else?

its not the slide...i took them both off and it still does it.

The good one barely has play and the bad one is still wacky

just bring them into a shop, most shops are cool and will help you fix your problem for minimal cost, or sometimes free. it is most likey something simple, so it won't take you more than 10 mins to take them in get it fixed, and be done with it.

go to a shop that sells Dynastar and see if u can get that plastic thing replaced they probably can help more than any of us

ok so i took em to a shop that saud there was nothing they could do about it....what are the odds Look will give a shit about em? anyone delt with warrenties with Look?

i didnt buy em new so i dunno if its worth it

Like Flynn said, did you get the forward pressure right? If it's not adjusted properly, then your heel-piece may wiggle that much even with a boot in the binding.

oh wait... your heel piece moves that far without you pushing on it. I believe that's servicable. I'll check out the rossi/look bindings I have in my shop... might have parts to fix that problem.

Thanks. I took them to a binding shop though and they said there was nothing they could do.

Again, anyone deal with warrenties with LOOK before? I have never had to try to warrenty something
