yea so i pretty much suck at rails, most of it is just committing to em, (go ahead call me a pussy if u want its prolly deserved), but also i cant really slide shit well, is this because i dont commit or is it somethin else? could it b confidence too? i can slide boxes fine but rails is a whole different story. any advice at all u guys have would b sick. thnx

i get scared of rails too, sometimes it helps to have a bit of pressure to push yourself like set up a consequence for yourself or something, or other times it might help if you take a deep breath and not tense up

keep your skis shoulder width or wider apart before the rail and on it, and try not to catch an edge on the rail, keep your body centered, and then jump off

When you approach the rail have your stance under your shoulders. when you get 2 it pop up and do a 90 degree turn. Make sure you spread you legs wide enough and anticipate that the rail is slipperyier than the snow. Also bending over slightly helps some by getting your center of gravity lower. this is what works for me

if its a gap to a rail and its pretty high, then do the gorillasteez

if its a ride on rail, you wont have to jump high, but u still have to

just go up with a little bit of speed, not too slow though or else its almost tougher, have your legs shoulder with or so apart from eachother then jump on 90 degrees with that same stanceand try to squat on the rail a little to keep a low center of balance then turn 90 degrees back off, sometimes its easier to come off fakie.

low athletic position. just pop turn 90 freakin degrees and land on the rail. stay as low and centered as possible. then just slide it. its all about staying low and not jumping off to the side and tapping the rail. just land on it and slide

do rails that arnt nuttable then u dont have to worry about anything except falling back and smashing ur head open and dieing..so wear a elmet when u do

I would always slip out towards uphill when I first tried but thought about leaning my weight over my lead foot instead, not lots, but it ended up that it evened out the weight and therfore center of balance that keeps working for me

i am pretty much the same way i am awsome at boxes and can do 270 off and stuff but i dont know what but rails freak me out, i do them now but they still scare the shit out of me and it dose help to have some one to show off for
