Help on new skis

Hey, im 6 ft. 4 in. 180 lbs, ski mainly the colorado resorts. I'm an advanced skier who normally skis "laid back" non aggressive but want a ski that is responsive, I also like to "dabble" in the park and love doing trees and backcountry/powder. Not a big mogul skier, but again i want something that does it all. Any ideas what skis i should look at ? I've been skiing the Salomon X-scream 6 (purchased in 2002) and never noticed how much i didn't like em until i tried the 2004 Salomon 1080 (the only other ski I've tried since the purchase of the screams in '02). I loved the 1080, but was told that they aren't very good in the twin tip category. What should I look to try out? Thanks for your help

^armada ANT? dude those things are wayyy to beast for a single all-around single. Other than that, this guy's recommendations were good. He forgot to include the Seth Pistol though, which is a great ski. If I were to personally rank recommendations it would be as follows:

1. Armada ARV (or even AR5 if you want a thinner ski for some reason, because this ski is sickalicious)

2. Seth Pistol

3. 4FRNT MSP

4. Scratch BC

I dream of winter.

my list would be just like tc's. very nicely done man

seth pistol, PE ( they are good for everything) or the scratch BC. also if u like salomon demo the pocket rockets, they might be an option

I dunno stoweskier... the PRs are pretty soft, and he is a pretty big guy. Sounds like he likes to charge some lines and can be aggressive. I am a heavy skier (190 lbs) and the Scratch BCs were just a bit soft for me, and the PRs are even softer. So, I wouldn't recommend those for him. But anything on my previous list is a good option, so you can choose based on graphics I guess. But, when I rode my ARVs, i LOVED them :)

I dream of winter.

plus the 06 arv have a really sweet graphic, so youll get the best of both worlds

Sweet, thanks a lot guys. The list you gave me is real close to the one my buddy gave me, but I wasn't sure he knew what he was talking about so it's nice to have that corroborated.

Armada ARV's would be really good. Or maybe Armada JP vs. Juliens, but those are pretty fat.

So scratch BC or ARV's? Normally i would go out and try em but i live in Ohio and no place around here rented em out during the winter and i wanna buy some now so i dont have to deal with it when i go out to college in colorado and plus prices are cheapest now.

^ c-note is the exact same ski as the surface 184 just so you all know! they use the exact same press same material same everyting!

i really like the msps as well!

'skis are like girls , the more you have the better'

Like stowskier said the public enemy's are really solid. Because your big though i would throw volkl karma's into the mix, they're really solid all over the mountain, and doable in the park. plus they're stiff too which is good for your size.

^ yes

i would say some arvs or msps or seth pistols

'skis are like girls , the more you have the better'

you may want to wait till next years Scratch BC's cuz they will be wider and stiffer which would be better for you. I wouldnt recommend you getting this years but if it is a good deal its your choice.
