[Help :(] My room mates are boring. What to do?

Ey guys

I think that I must use the Non-Ski Gabber forum for an advice too. So lets see if I can get here some useful informations ;)

My problem atm is, that im staying abroad in Canada, obviously in a ski resort and i ve found a job already as well a house, that I share with two others. Well here we go.

My room mates are doing an alcohol break, they dont rly like to go out, because they re just 18 (in BC you have to be 19 for clubs etc.). So we dont do that many stuff together. I feel like i am going to miss all the cool evenings at other homes, bars or clubs. here are still many free flats or houses left and going into a new house with other room mates wouldnt be difficult. At least I dont want to drink beer alone all day. Both of them will work on the hill, but atm they re spending their free time playing Playstation :/

On the other hand I dont want to let them rent this house by their own, because then they have to pay a shitton more money. Second: They are always saying stupid comments, last time when i wanted to buy a deep pow ski, they said that material aka. skis isnt the main thing for skiing well. Pretty bourgois persons imo. Damn i was stoked to buy a ski and they ruined it...Last thing: When i would move out, I feel like its a pretty bitchy move.

I wasnt able to make a proper decision yet, thats why I am asking here for some advice. Need some input! Moving out or staying there for the rest of the season?

tl;dr: Boring room mates. Should i move out or stay? Maybe a too bitchy move?

CC

I wish everyone an awesome 15/16 season. Super stoked for the winter :D

Make friends with your neighbors. Hang out with them instead. I got lucky and have a house full of girls next door.

You don't have to go out or hang out with your roommates, you just live with them. Make other friends, go out have fun, kinda silly to limit yourself because of your random roommates you live with.

The only time I lived in a house with random people was my first summer in utah, I worked, went home, cleaned up and went over to my friends houses basically every day. Sometimes i'd chill and watch tv in my room or a movie, etc but most of the time if I wasn't working or eating a meal, i was usually at a friends house. A house is just a place to sleep and store shit, you don't necessarily need to be there alot.

That being said, living with homies is the best, but this guy is solo, it doesn't seem like he has any homies to live with so he's living with random dudes.

OP you live and work at a resort, ski season will change everything, just be patient.

I dont have nice neighbours, but well... :)

Atm I spend most of my time at a pretty cool place here with others i get a long really well.

I thought that its maybe a bit weird, just sleeping there without even making proper contact. Well lets see.

Last thing: They often buy stuff I personally wouldnt need at all, but I always have to 1/3 of it. F.e. mouse traps and so on. Come on...

haha you don't want to chip in on mouse traps...? You may not realize it from where ever you're from, but mice reproduce so fast in the fall in BC. Unless you like the rodents running in your house.

It depends what your priorities are. If your there to party, maybe find a different place. If your there to ski wait til ski season gets going.

Introduce your boring roomates to hookers and blow or move out. Try and make the best out of your sausage party of a season.

How has this not been suggested? Make your roommates interesting!

Simply start a house war. Shit in their shoes, do all the immature pranks (make ice cubes out of clear urine, fill the shower head with nair, fuck with their cars). They will retaliate, you will retaliate, and soon enough you will all constantly be interacting. Trust me, this is how all good friendships get started.

Yeah you should be setting traps. Storms are already driving mice inside. Victor brand metal petal traps are by far the best. Don't waste your time with anything else.

Constantly ask your roommates if they have ever tried anal and then one day change the question to whether or not they remember trying anal.

Then find new roommates when they inevitably move out

Where do you live?

Im in Revy ^^

I have an evening part time job. So I am working 3 up to 4 days a week. I can ski every day when ever i want to ^^. It worked out really well (until now).

Yeah today we found a mice literally IN the bread, alive -.-. Didn t know that you have on the fall big mice problems. Never read sth. about that before.

Thanks for the advice. Mice traps are bought.

Well lets see what happens in the next two months :) I am not ONLY for skiing here. I think meeting others, having fun with them on the hill and at night isnt a false idea...

Well it sounds like you found a new hobby trapping mice. Keep at it until you don't hear or trap any more mice. Then set a couple of baited traps out of the way just in case a new one decides to come over from the neighbors on a nice day.

You'll meet more new people to hang out with. Once the snow starts piling up snow people will have to start meeting regularly for safety purposes and that is a good time to find people with similar interests.

My revy friends are all ready skiing, and their pictures are makings go crazy here!! (I'm down in Nakusp - 1.5 hours south of Revy - with two weeks of work left before ski time for me). Go skiing. At least, go up to the hill and hike up for some turns. There will be people there, meet th, become friends with them, and yeah. Don't let your roommates lives dictate what you do.

Besides that - if you're bored at night just go to the bar (Traverse, Regent, Last Drop, it doesn't matter) get drunk and mingle.

At least you'll always have your roommates for times you wanna get stoned and play video games if you don't want to spend money at the bar or if it's raining to the top of the mountain. Could be worse.

My Downskis TD 103 will arrive in 7 days and I ll buy the Pettitors Friday. I already shredded on top with some old crap skis. Was 7 days ago. Maybe Ill see some on Friday :)

Ill be there no worries. Yeah Traverse and Last Drop are pretty cool. Went there with some others before and around Halloween :DD

Move out and find a roommate, your chances are around 99% of finding someone who wants to go out and party/drink/do stupid shit

I wish i had roommates like yours, they are really hard to find.
