Help my line skis split

I was skiing today hitting some big kickers. The front tip of my 2012 line mastermind split. I'm really upset. What should i do? Call line skis? Can i get reimbursed or something?

Sorry if it's a repost. Its on my phone. Help+k

How long have you had them? Line warrants skis from 1 year after the purchase date. i also had 2012 masterminds and snapped the tail in january, unfortunately it had been over a year :(

Just a warning if you call Line, their customer service is really shitty. I spent like a month trying to return my broken suspenders, they make you do so much unnecessary shit just to return things, it's probably different if your skis have a warranty, but I just wanted to say that...

'Any problem resulting from impact' so considering you were hitting kickers the Line warranty is probably void... Deffinitely wouldn't hurt to check with your shop though

By producing in China, k2/Line can keep stricter control on quality then ever before. The materials used in the skis are for the most part still sourced from the USA/Canada etc. Plus Line used to manufacture in Canada too.

Tons of companies are moving away from expensive labour markets. Marker moved from Germany/austria to eastern europe etc

I had a problem similar to this with a pair of my skis and the guy at the local ski shop said they will make up some bullshit excuse like "its not the skis fault, you were miss using them." I think they would also look into previous damage and say this is the reason and they don't cover it.

My friend blew the cap on his chronics after 2 months of use and now he loses an inch of sidewall every time he skis

OP think your first mistake was buying line skis

Lol....you mean buying masterminds. A little unfair to knock the whole brand based on a few bad experiences with masterminds and chronics dont you think?

my 09/10 chronics are holding up magnificently and i bought the 12/13 chronics because i liked them so much, they also are in great condition after very heavy use.

Op, you probably should have considered one of their skis more fit for bigger features, as the masterminds are a more beginner tailored ski.

Sorry for the double post but i worded my last sentence badly.OP, Line hopefully will replace your skis if you are still in their 1 year warranty, but they may not because the masterminds are meant for smaller features and not the impact from large kickers.

I got masterminds because I couldn't afford anything else. After skiing on them since Christmas break I have a couple inches of missing edge, and right beside that a bubble in my base from the edge moving. and of course de-lam which duct tape solves. Duct tape it, its my best friend

My 2011/12s step up broke fter like 2 months! Gave em back to my local dealer where i brought the skis and got some kind of a vouche! Were my first and my last lines!

Ya thanks guys for advice I appreciate it. I just duck taped the tip after it got worse cause I skied the whole weekend at seven springs. They are beginner park skis and I had little money but I was hitting the spot jumps and park laps the whole day so it got really bad. its whatever. ill finish out the season hopefully. haha

I split my '11 after bangs and they sent me the '12s so their customer service is good but my 12's are split now so I'm thinking of switching skis
