I've had this problem for 10+ years and i think it's time to finally address it. What are some good ways to keep your hand shoes smelling fresh? I try to dry them every night, but regardless they get this heavy stink. pleeeease help me i don't want to scare away pretty girls

For your gloves- Don't leave them wet, dry them as soon as you can, but air dry, via fireplace or hang them. I know people who put them in the dryer but i personally don't trust it as the material could get fucky

For your shoes- There's powder at stores, or fragrance you could buy to put into your shoes overnight that will take the smell away. Also, don't use your shoes for to many things, like I have a pair for just going out, some for just the gym, and some just to play outside and shit with.

are they shitty gloves with no breathability? if so, it can be sorta like you have your hands sweating in a couple plastic bags, so no surprise if they stink

if that's the case and you have some cash, get some new gloves with better breathability and maybe some vents

also, i use little connectors to attach my gloves to my wrist, so any time my hands get warm or start to sweat, i take them off and let my hands and the gloves get a breather

try to keep them dry obviously

id imagine there are some powders or mild safe cleaners of some type you could use. maybe something analogous to the powder, or those little ball things you put in gym shoes after you use them

Washing them could ruin their water proofing.

Instead, make sure they are completely dry, put them in a plastic grocery bag, put that bag in the freezer overnight, and thaw them in the morning. The cold of the freezer will kill some of the odor causing bacteria.

Works for boot liners too!

Keep them dry as much as possible, but to get rid of the smell for now, blast those things with a bacteria killing air freshener.
