Help my dad choose his next car!

Please provide some awd turbo cars that are cheaper.

ANd 40k for a wrx??? haha, you must reallllly get screwed in canada, because on the US subaru site, I can't get the price of a WRX up to 40k even with every option(over half are redundant ie. trunk mat for wagon and sedan).

 
It's effing stupid, especially since our dollar is higher. And it's not like we can just hope the boarder and buy a car in the states either, they watch for that...

The base price of the WRX in Canada is $32495. The base price in the US is $26220. I hate you guys. That's ridiculous!
 
We live in montreal and have a place up north near st-sauveur, so there's a lot of snowy/icy conditions to drive in.

And once again, allow me to reiterate that I'm not expecting my father to buy a car based strictly on an nser's recommendation.

of course my first option would be subi, but for something different how bout a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. i think the AWD models start at like 21,000. never driven one but they look nice

Thank you again for all the advice everyone. If any of you are interested, my dad test drove the GTI and loved it, so that's what he's going with!
