so I am doing a senior project about why people take risks

this is just a quick survey i put together

please put your gender and age along with your answers

1. Please name a few activities that you would like to pursue. (e.g skydiving, exotic travel, crazy weird drugs, etc)

2. On a scale from 1-5 (5 really want to, 1 never want to), would you want to go bungee jumping. If you have already, on the same 1-5 scale, would you want to go again?

2b. Same question, but with sky diving.

2c. Which of these is more appealing and why?

3. Do you find yourself very timid in new risky situations such as a steep ski run with blind rolls that you have never skied on?

4. For those who drive: Do you enjoy driving fast? Why or why not?

4b. Do you enjoy being driven by someone else who drives fast or reckless? Please elaborate on why or why not.

5. If you were offered a spot on the show fear factor would you accept?

6. In one of the timed challenges would you jump straight in and possibly make mistakes, or think it out first and loose time?

7. In general how do you evaluate a risky situation on a 1-5 scale? 1- spend lots of time, 5-go for it. Why?

8. Out of this list (http://forum.grasscity.com/general/236709-i-doser.html) which would you try on your first time?

Thanks NS

1. Please name a few activities that you would like to pursue. (e.g skydiving, exotic travel, crazy weird drugs, etc)

I would try wierd drugs, heli skiing,

2. On a scale from 1-5 (5 really want to, 1 never want to), would you

want to go bungee jumping. If you have already, on the same 1-5 scale,

would you want to go again?

3

2b. Same question, but with sky diving.

5

2c. Which of these is more appealing and why?

Skydiving because it seems safer and more of a rush

3. Do you find yourself very timid in new risky situations such as a

steep ski run with blind rolls that you have never skied on?

no not really

4. For those who drive: Do you enjoy driving fast? Why or why not?

I like fast acceleration and decelleration(sp) driving. A constant fast speed is not exciting

4b. Do you enjoy being driven by someone else who drives fast or reckless? Please elaborate on why or why not. Yes it is scarier when you are not in control

5. If you were offered a spot on the show fear factor would you accept?

probably think about it

1. Skiing, skiing, skiing, skydiving, bungie jumping, flying a plane, longboarding in california

2. 5

2b. 5

2c. bungie jumping, because you start from rest and free fall the whole way. When you skydive your already moving sideways so although you fall at the same rate, it doesnt feel as cool. Although skydiving would have a cooler view

3. Im usually timid enough to be cautious when i need to, but otherwise i charge hard

4. It feels kinda cool, but im more afraid of dying so i usually only speed by like 10mph at the most

4b. If they are drunk, young, stupid, or all of the above I will freak out. If they are expirienced, sober, and smart, and the road is in good condition, its fun to a point.

5. No. Although some challenges are cool, I wouldnt want to eat goat balls or something crazy. And the host is a dick

6. Id look over it for a second, then jump in and rely on my intuition

7. 2- I usually take a while to scope things out (except for the timed fear factor thing), so even though some of the things I do seem stupid, I usually try to plan them out

8. the link doesnt work for me sry

thanks everyone

just to clarify question 8: a bunch of researchers put together a list of audio tracks that all have different effects on the brain. the list is all the different effects the audio tracks produce. at the bottom is the download links for all the audio tracks.

some of these tacks can produce very very intense results. the specify on some of them to not try for your first time. the question is asking which of these audio tracks would you most likely try on your FIRST TIME.

hope that clears up everything

I have been messing around with these tracks on frost wire. Its pretty fucking wierd whether maybe its all in my head or whatever but it is apparently working.

it really depends on the person, if it is my good friend or something i trust them driving to their ability level and feel comfortable. usually not as comfortable as if i was driving, but pretty close.

5. If you were offered a spot on the show fear factor would you accept?

yeah!

6. In one of the timed challenges would you jump straight in and possibly make mistakes, or think it out first and loose time?

i'd probably take the middle ground so i don't lose too much time but also so i don't fall off or lose because i just hurried up.

7. In general how do you evaluate a risky situation on a 1-5 scale? 1- spend lots of time, 5-go for it. Why?

didint read the question properly

i would try crazy drugs, preety much anything that would give me a good feeling without any really bad side effects

I tried hand of god on that idoser thing and shit started to look bigger and smaller and then some scratchy noise came on louder than the relaxing tones for a split second and it scared the living shit out of me and I stopped. The marijuana one doesn't do anything but has sounds of waterfalls and nature so it is relaxing to listen to.
