Help me stay connected to xbl

Live has been working fine since March, but since last night it connects fine, but disconnects me about 5 minutes later. I can't finish any games or shit like that. I'm using a dlink router and my xbox is directly plugged into it. If anyone can please help me it would be appreciated.

get rid of your D-Link router, that's your problem right there. I had one that would disconnect randomly at least 20 times a day, and I'd have to restart it and other random shit to get it working again each time. I replaced mine with a Belkin, and it hasn't had any problems since.

I was waiting for someone to say that. However, I don't believe I have to. It has been working fine now for over 4 months, never disconnected me once. It is only since yesterday it just randomly started doing it.

i would say replace the router without a doubt, D-Links are the worst for random disconnecting.

for mine it would work for like a week, give me time to recover emotionally, then crush my hopes when it wouldn't work for another month.
