Help me save the skatepark in my city..

My city opened a new skatepark last summer, and now they want to close it because someone cut a hole in the fence that surrounds it. There is a meeting about it tonight that i plan on attending. What are some good arguments to keep the skatepark... and possibley get its hours changed so its open past dark... i've thought of tons of reasons to keep it open but just want a few more..

meet up with the mayor before the meeting and tell him in reasonable terms your gonna gut him if the park gets closed, simple and effective

This is good, and if that doesnt work argue that it will keep you out of spots in the city/complexes/buildings with skate spots and the owners wouldnt have to worry about kicking kids out or their property getting ruined.

The whole point of skateparks is getting people outta the streets, closing a skatepark is an open invitation to start waxing ledges and ruining city property.

it gives kids something constructive to do with their energy. Also it will be a place to ride instead of have to ride street all the time and destroying public works and such.

tell them it'll keep you outta the streets at night. so you won't be making noise in the streets and the cops won't be getting complaints

tell them that if the vandalizing continues you guys who are at the skatepark will either make sure it doesn't happen or you will tell them who it is. It's sorta shitty but if you want it open that bad then it's a good choice.

well we had a pretty new skate park (maybe 3 years old) and they took out every single ramp because of illegal drug usage and it is bullshit..your situation doesn't sound very serious just volunteer to fix the fence maybe?

to give kids a healthy place to go and skate/have fun instead of going out and doing hood rat stuff

keeps kids from selling drugs, popping caps, robbing, raping, doing drugs, setting stuff on fire, and summoning Godzilla... It also is an eco friendly safe place where people can stop wasting electricity and still have fun!
