Help me save my phone

ya so today my phone went through the washer(yes Im a dumbass). I took out the battery and let it dry and I put the phone in a ziplock bag with rice in it because I googled it and thats what it said to do. anything else you guys know that will help my phone work again? +karma for good answers
 
dont put it in the microwave. that's dumb. don't put it in the oven. thats retarded too. pop off the battery...unscrew the 4 or 5 screws in the back of your phone and pop it apart. let it dry for a couple of days and then take a wire brush to any corrosion that forms on the main board...esp near batt contacts, mic, etc. don't try and put any power thru the thing until its dried for a few days...you can zap the board...
 
ya Im not gonna put it in the oven and definitely not the microwave. I tried to take the screws out but I don have a small enough screwdriver. Im really banking on the rice method working haha.
 
Dude just let it dry completely. It should be fine. I used to have an LG Venus and wakeboarded all day with it in my pocket once. I just let it dry for a couple days and it was totally fine. Then I left it in my pocket and went in the lake again a couple weeks later. I just let it dry again and it worked fine.
 
i dropped mine in the toilet haha. the best thing to do is leave it on its side so the water will leak out and leave the battery off for a few days. don't keep trying ot turn it on though..that will mess it up more. you can always blow dry it a little on low. that works too. i hope that one of these helps!
 
Take it apart as much as you're comfortable with and put it in a bowl of rice for a few days. The rice will help soak up the moisture.
 
if none of these work it is prob the battery, and if it is, there should be a little sticker on the battery that turned red when it got wet. (so the phone company can tell if you dropped it in the water) take some bleach and dab it on the sticker to make it white then go to the store and ask for a replacement. they will give you a free or discounted battey depending on how long you have had it.

put it in a zip lock with ryce, yes the food uncooked and dry, then squeze all the air out and zip it.
the rice acts like a sponge and sucks up all the water and doesnt cause heat damage like an over MICROWAVE or hair dryer will..

this works i droped a walky talky in a birdbath once...

haha i know i missed that i saw that someone had a wet phone problem and i didnt bother reading the rest... my B
 
ya I already did that but does it really have to be a few days? That seems like a long time for it to dry out.
