Help me pick a ski

Im 6'4 approx 180pounds. I live in Michigan. Ive been skiing the JO pros for a year and i love them, but theyre just a little stiff and a little too short.

So this is what im looking for:

-179cm in length

-at least 90underfoot

-i want something pretty flexy

-i ride mostly park

-i go out west once or twice a year

-needs to be under $500

+++karma to whoever helps me find the best skis.

thank you,

jon

RENO ROCKER 181. has a little rocker to butter, but is still sick on jumps. good length. and it will be good in pow for when you ski it.

i think its a little over $500 though

I think that the anthem is definatley the ski for you. it's nice and flexy so you can do nice butters but it also has lots of pop. they hold up pretty well for such a soft ski and the 93 underfoot makes it so you can hit some pow too. definately a good ski for you.

If you are looking for the ski that is 90+ under foot and you ride a lot of park the Line anthem is excatly what you are looking for

119-93-119 fully symmetric so you can center mount, and with the carbon olliband, butter zones in the tip and tail and a maple macroblock core it's strong enough to hold up

when you get some snow fun pow ski for 2-6"

From what I remember the prophets are super stiff, not flexy.

Yeah I think the anthem would be great. I have a friend who got them this last season, and he loves them! He says they're great in the park, and good in all mountain. I think they would be fun in the powder too, seeing as they're on th softer side.

I use the boone 93mm waist ski. Its 180 in length, and its FANTASTIC if you want one ski that can blast anything in the park, or allmountain. Bamboo core (snappy as hell, and very durable).. rockwell 48 steel edges (might as well be made of diamonds, its that tough)... a topsheet that doesnt really chip much if at all, and you have 3 graphics to choose from.

I personally love them, so you might want to check them out.

I am 6'2" 195 and I have the anthems and they are a blast. I live in utah and they are fat enough to have fun mini-golfing.

Personally, i'd reccomend something a bit stiffer.. the anthems feel just like wide invaders to me...

great skis if the great majority of what you're going to do is park jibs... but not something i'd charge with.

i know like 90% of everybody said anthems, but they seem jsut too damn soft. as of now, im thinkin about goin for the fujas even tho theyre a little more costly.

yeah go for the kung fujas. the anthems are gonna feel like noodles after you've been skiing on the JO pros. The anthems also don't come long enough for you. I think 178's are too short for you. The kung fujas come in 179's and 189's which might be a little long if you do a lot of park

well, while i read your requirements i had only 1 ski in mind. The line anthems. they are 93 under foot come in 178cm, are made for park and can be brought in pow when ever the ocation surfaces, and the best part is they will only run you about $400 depending on what pair you want. the limited edition eric pollard ones are $430 but you better order them quick

get them off jibij and write your NS username in the comments box, and you'll get 10% off. so that'll be under 500

at your size the moment M1 or Garbones if you want a rocker would both be quality skis
