Help me pick a game

its summer and i got not much to do.

i am pretty indesicive when it comes to choosing a game, and i haven't been on top of the latest and greatest games, so help me choose.

i recently played fallout 3 and thought that game was legit with its huge map and the "the do what you want, when you want" storyline. so i'm looking for a game like that, i heard oblivion is pretty good but maybe you can help broaden my choices.

and my platform is xbox 360
 
oblivion is a good game to look at, like you said. basically fallout 3 set in medieval times. Far Cry is also a good one
 
I like Oblivion on PC the best, because there are a ton of mods that I just can't play the game without. Have you looked at the expansions for fallout 3?
 
I loved Fallout 3 and hated Oblivion. The combat in Oblivion is mindblowingly shitty, every NPC has the same voice, and because of the autoleveling system there's absolutely no reason to explore anything because at a low level you'll never find any good loot.

 
fallout 3 was probably the best single player free roam rpg ever

if your not sure you wanna get a new game you should get the dlc's for it )downloadable content} and there is also a shitload of mods for it (including one with a fully functioning motorcyle, new guns, etc) which can add alot of playing time
 
I have thought long and hard on this question now. There is only one game for anyone.

Mass Effect.... Amazing game and probably the best game I've every owned since StarCraft I.... Seriously check it out. If done right you can spend over 60 hours or so on the campaign. My first time through was only around 20. It was one of those games where I had a o shit moment when I actually stood up and yelled ooo shit at my TV because it was that mind blowing... check it out.
 
i concur, although I did love Oblivion for the time I spent playing it. Eventually, once you beat the game, it got boring as hell.
 
haha my roommate and our other friend both got extremly addicted to that game. if your into star wars ish type things that game will control your life
 
its a sick game, but what part made you go "o shit"? i cant really think of any twists in that game...

but if you want a mind-blowingly sick game with the greatest "o shit" moment in gaming history, get Bioshock. seriously.
 
get fallout3. i just finished it on ps3, at least the main story. only takes 5-8 hours or so. but the side quests are real extensive. and there is so much exploration it's crazy. also, xbox/pc have tons of dlc, ps3 is getting it soon. i'm pretty pumped for that on ps3. and i'm not too into gaming.
 
I second this. Such a great game. I don't even like rpg games but this one is a lot of fun. It's got a great storyline and it's just a good looking game.
 
One of the longer dialogs with Sovereign... when he explains the stuff about the reapers... it just kinda blew my mind thinking about it... Pretty epic storyline if you ask me, guess thats why it was written by a writer and not a game designer.
