First of all, you really should read the last page or two of threads, there's lots of info on this exact subject. Obviously the camera that you want depends almost entirely on 1. what you're going to use it for, and 2. your budget. I personally prefer HDV cameras like the HV30 just because the quality is great and the tapes are always there as a backup for when your hard drive crashes, ect.
