Help me out looking for a nice jacket

Why are you looking for. Somthing for touring or the resort. Are you a park guy? Do you want insulation? How much can you spend?

Park... Just want a nice jacket that will keep me warm

We'll an insulated jacket will be the warmest. Howeve they can be less versatile as tey can be to warm when it's not cold. A shell jacket is a jacket with no insulation which you can layer under to keep warm. They can be worn year round as you can change the layers beneath.

If you want to go insulation there are any number. You don't say where you ski but if it's not too wet an insulated 10k jacket will be fine. Te 10k refers to how waterproof the jacket is. The higher the number the more waterproof.

If you ski somewhere wet then 20k or even goretex may be worth a look.

In terms of brands nearly all will have an insulated jacket so take a look at some which match your price range and see what you like.

Warm in what environment? I'm pretty warm right now, wearing a t-shirt and shorts.

On the flip side, I have an Eddie Bouer First Ascent 800 fill down parka that will keep me warm down to -20 F with some layering. However, at 10F I am sweating profusely with minimal exertion.

Staying warm is relative.

Just copped a saga 2L jacket. Its tall and seems like itll be pretty cozy for me cuz i generally get really hot. You should wait for a sale cuz no one wants to spend $250 on a jacket

You really really really really really need to check out Flylow their 2015/16 line pretty much cleaned house at SIA. They have be said to have Arc'teryx level quality but at half the cost.

You might have to be patient because they still have last years stuff on their website.
