i want to paint or draw with paint markers something on the side of my boot

im thinking powder covered trees with a guy hiking up in the pow but

i want a reference picture to go by

if anyone has any ideas or pictures i should go by that would help alot

it will get scraped off soo quick, and you cant even see whats on the boot anyways really. not sure why you want to paint them....

nah i like the idea im thinkin of painting a few diff things myself. idk about a pic to go by, but my advice is to play around with ideas and make some sketches and go from there, be original man

i wanted to dye my boots. even if it is black you can bleach it to grey then dye it.

people got incredibly mada at me though when i introduced this idea.

Bleaching seems like it would ruin the integrity of the plastic. Just spray some clear coat on after you paint and it shouldn't chip too badly.

it would look sick, but run off real quick. i had a sticker on mine and it was torn to shreds after one day. i just ripped off the tiny bit that was left after that

im just going to find a cool sticker or something then clear coat over that and my other stickers

depends on where the surface is, if it flexes, spraying clear coat on it, will almost ensure that it will crack and chip away.

It will definatly chip off no matter how many times you clear coat it or paint it. But i like the idea, id just do a simple design to test it out first if i were you, like on an old pair of boots or on the underside of the boot.

Just put an NS sticker on each toe, or something, and then maybe put packaging tape, or some kind of clear glue over it lightly to protect water from getting under it and it coming off.

if you use the right paint it wont chip, maybe scratch off though

like enamel paitn will chip but plastic bonding paint probably wont

just dye it as i said before. if it is a black part you'll need to bleach it to grey first, but then you should be able to dye it. keep in mind you can only dye darker so you cant dye any color white. Lets say you're dying yellow, you may be able to bleach it to off white, and then use white dye to get it very close, but thats about it.

to dye just remove the part, clean it, bleach it, clean it again, than put some dye in a big tub of water, boil it, then stick the part in for 10 minutes.

PLEASE MODS! BAN HIM! He's been posting usless shit in every thread. Just get him out'a HERE!

I think it would be cool to paint them. Again, not sure it it will stay. I saw a few good pics for you to do. Check the "ART" section in the photo section.
