over the past year of highschool, chemisty has been a pain the the ass. iv made by trying to study, but also getting some help by fellow classmates during some quizzes and tests. the teacher noticed once in the beginnning of the year when i would walk back from asking her a question, so there was a long dry period through winter where i was pretty honest with the whole testing enviornment bullshit. recently, looking toward summer and all, iv been just wanting to get in the 90s so my mom will front me some cash for my hmc150 until i can pay her back. so last test, we had a substitute, and i took that as gods way of saying, heres a good grade. but today we got our tests back and me and my friend who is a A+ student, and happens to sit next to me, get our tests back with "See me" written on the bottom with no grades. we see her and she gives the whole acedmic honesty speech, and tells us to figure it out. she hasnt told us that the grades are 0, and acutally did write the grade in with pencil. im not sure what to do... come clean (i cannot afford a 0), wait it out, or go see her again.

any suggestions?

At my school that would be a Saturday detention and a zero.

But seriously, do you want a grade that is slightly lower but reflects your real achievement or do you want a slightly higher grade that makes you feel guilty because it doesn't reflect your work?
 
Yeah me too. They call it a sanction - you report to school at 8 AM Saturday to do manual labor around the school. And if you get a sanction you're pretty much on the "watch" list.
 
same, i'm in highschool. it'd def. go on your record, and you'd be def. suspended, mayyyyybe expelled depending on how blatantly you did it. and/or how many times you did.
and, how does the teacher have proof... couldn't you just say you coincidentally got the same answers?
 
come clean to the teacher, ask her if you can take it againg maybe with a point deduction and your teacher will respect you a lot more, because of the whole being honest and saying your sorry. Maybe ask if you can do some extra work to make up for it or something.
 
i can't believe anyone feels guilty after cheating.

here's how i see it.

it's just another way to find the answer. real world knowledge, if you don't know the answer find someone who does. simple as that.

and i feel no better if i get a 100% on my own, or a 100% fully cheating. it's still a 100%.

i say just keep saying it must have been a coincidence. if we get caught cheating at my school we just get a 0. no more no less.
 
if your bro is down. agree to keep your mouths shut, and never speak of it again. just like if a cop asks you shit, you don't give him shit nada nothing. a teacher is the same deal. give um nothing they got nothing.
 
my chem teacher (who happens to have been the teacher of the year) is really funny about that. i mean hes an asshole and i dont like him but hes a great teacher, but anyway i sit next to a friend of mine whos not the smartest but hes not stupid, and im pretty good when it comes to chem. so basically on all the tests and quizzes we get, we cheat. and he always announces to the class "no cheating on this one, you can on the next one.".

so anyway, i will get a 20/20 on a test that EVERYONE got an 18/20 on cuz there was one question which i happened to know, but my friend would also get a 20/20 and my teacher would just be like, i gotta move you, you gotta be cheating...

and then like on our last test, i got a 98 and he got a 92, but i started on the second part and he started on the first so we didnt really cheat to much. so when we get it back, im like "goodman, i didnt even cheat on this one, you know that, i started on part b and he started on a." and he doesnt care at all, haha.

and we have a perm sub in euro because or teacher had a baby, and shes a huge push over. so we will cheat like non other on our tests. she will turn her back and someone will get up and look at someone elses test and shit or we ask her to go get us tissues and we discuss the questions

but yeah man, deny deny deny. tell her you just studied a lot and that you dont appriciate being seen as a kid who can only get certain grades.
 
honesty is the best policy, if you pulled that shit at the high school i went to they could/would of thrown your ass out for that.
