Help me make a conspiracy theory

So I couldn't help but notice how many stupid conspiracy theories there are floating around the internet that so many stupid ass people buy into. This one is claiming that judgement day is in 3 days:http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/

They use out of context bible quotes and stupid math to prove their points like so:
"4990 + 2011 = 7001Note: When counting from an Old Testament date to a New Testament date, always subtract one year because there is no year zero, resulting in:4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7000 years exactly."
According to this apparently we are all going to die soon and so many people buy into this garbage. This made me think that NS should come up with their own conspiracy and get all these retards to believe us. I'm thinking anything from shifting polarity of the earth to plants aligning to the end of the world to government coverups. I figured NS is pretty creative so lets see what we can come up with

Sparknotes: people are dumb and believe stupid shit, lets make a conspiracy.

Corporate elites have a tremendous amount of power in the political process, and use this to make enourmous profits while depriving the masses of a genuine democracy. People are fed bullshit and lies through the media to keep them passive and distracted in the face of this corruption. The vast majority of the population are moulded into consumers through the system of education and the media they are fed, resulting in a society of mindless robots, incapable of rational thought, who exist only to buy the shit corporations produce.
