I hate doing this and try to avoid using the public, but this is getting ridiculous.

Story: He had a pair of Salomon Foils with z12ti bindings for sale for $260 which I purchased. His exact phrase both in the same and in his message to me when I asked for confirmation of the condition was "virtually new". In my book that means maybe used a couple of times with no rails. He also included the comment that he had sanded the topsheet lightly to give it a "mattel look", he says. I figure I can live with that since the price is so good. So I pay him the money. They arrive after about two weeks. His version of "virtually new" includes the topsheet being painted white, then poorly sanded, leaving paint around the bindings an in the depressions of the topsheets. It also includes tons of dirt and grime in the bindings (I am assuming he did some summer backyard rails), and a crack in one of the edges. So, I ask for a refund considering his description of the product was nowhere near the actual condition. He says he cannot refund me the money because he doesn't have it anymore, but he will make it up to me by selling me pants for $40 that he normally would have charged $90-$100 for. I agree and proceed to put 3-4 hours of work into the skis of cleaning out the bindings, buying some paint remover and working them into a better condition. Because they are in better condition now, I sell them for exactly what I paid and have put in some money and time, so the pants had better be worth my money.

So I paid him the $40 for the pants, NOVEMBER 28TH (if you would like the math, that is 74 days, or almost 11 weeks.) I asked him to send them quickly because I wanted to use them for a trip to Colorado. They didn't come in the 10 days he had to ship them. Then they still hadn't arrived when I took a trip back home to Virginia. When I returned back to Kansas City where I now live, still, they hadn't arrive. So now I have messaged him numerous times, and on one occasion I actually got a resonse, almost two months later, that he "f'ed up the address". I am guessing writing an address on a box correctly and taking it to the post office doesn't require almost two months.

So after another e-mail from me and one from PayPal, he still hasn't responded. To some of you $40 may not seem worth the hassle, but to me that is still pants that I am owed or money back, especially considering the work I had to do just to get rid of some bunk skis he sold me.

In conclusion, if you know him, tell him to give me my pants or just my $40 back at this point. I am really hoping he doesn't make it to three months to resolve this. If you know the number of the shop he rides for in Michigan or Minnesota or wherever he lives, which is called Summit Shop, drop me that number. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

If I don't say it someone else will but after getting skis in such bad shape why would you buy something else from him? It is ridiculous how some people are so stupid. This kid probably think's he's home free. Wait until karma catches up to him.

I can see your point, and in retrospect you are definitely correct. At the time I was hoping to get something out of it after I had to spend the time and money on the skis. I guess I was just being optomistically greedy to try to turn the situation around, plus I wanted the pants :)

Sent money through paypal, found out the guy wasn't true to his word even after seeing a picture of the camera with my name and email, opened a complaint through paypal within 24 hours. Month later, paypal says they can't help me because there was no money in the account at the time they concluded the investigation. I'm almost more mad at paypal than I am at the guy.

The police haven't helped at all. The guy has stolen over 6 grand from people on a couple different websites. I've talked to them all and it's the same story. Paypal has also done nothing to help. I've emailed them hundreds of times. I thought about a mass NS message. Everyone sends the same message over and over until they give in.

that sucks but it sounds as if you bought the skis without even seeing a picture which is silly on your part

what a fucken asshole. im goin through a similar thing with a car i sold to an apparently legit garage in NZ. Long story and not for here but i feel your pain dude. Hunt that fucker down!

what a sleez bag

You should find him... and break his legs.... with the skis he sold you.

[Make sure hes wearing the pants while you do this]

shit dude, i dont personally know him but hes from the midwest and i have seen him skiing a few times, that really blows dude, tripstrum youre a legit guy that sucks

I don't really want to bother writing my whole story and have maybe 5 people do it once. This needs to be a full on attack. atleast 50 people per day for a month. I don't think NS has that sort of determination.

This story certainly needs to be resolved!!! and my name cleared. For one you could simply tell me whats going on I completley lost touch with you. I assumed you already had the pants. I find out last week I had the wrong address and someone else has had them for the past couple weeks. Well i got them back and sent them to you. I understand your upset I would be too but I was unaware that you had the pants. I gave you a pair of skis that were used 4 times with a sanded topsheet because i was going to paint them. They had bindings brand new on them. $260 for a package that retails at almost $1000 skis used 4 times. I know the pants are a big issue but I assure you they are coming to the correct address this time. So you have a pair of new skis and bindongs and a pair of oakley puffys for $300 plus a big fucking panys hassel. I'm truly sorry but i felt I hooked you up and next time try contacting me!!!!! you might have better luck! I would really appreciated you clearing my name on NS thanks for your time.

Based on TripleStrum's past you are full of shit. Also, who gives a shit if the skis are 4 days old. You said virtually new. Virtually new does not include f'd up edges and grimed up bindings.

This is bullshit!!! Does the product he sold not work?? sounds to me like you got hooked up! If your gonna complain about some paint? and scuffs use your fuckin head. The product was used and that is reflected in the price... Next time buy new...

i have been fucked over by paypal so many times now i have decided its one of the worst corporations in the whole fucking world, i hate paypal soooooooo much

We're talking about one of if not the most respected

sellers/buyers on this site. I certainly would believe him before you.

Get the guy his pants, and an apology, and then we'll clear your name.

The story speaks for itself, unfortunately. I know you are a nice guy, but everything I said is true. I tried to contact you. Maybe the skis were used four times, but they had been painted, which you neglected to mention, the bindings were filled with dirt and a bit scraped up, and there was an edge crack. Had you completely disclosed the condition of the skis we wouldn't have a problem.

I do appreciate you clearing it up now, but you could have sent the package to the wrong people 4 or 5 times in two and a half months and still had it show up at my door sooner. I don't think I was being overly aggressive or name-slandering by creating this thread since I simply told the truth. I sent you an e-mail and a PayPal warning almost two weeks ago notifying you that if you didn't respond I would use NS as one of the means to get your attention. I gave you ample time, you just didn't take the mercy extended you.

That being said, I will gladly report when the pants show up. Thank you

What the fuck is wrong with you, how can you sell skis and not mention you painted/sanded the topsheets (and did a horrible job at it). Fucking moron.

$260 for painted skis with an edge crack is a rip even if they are Oakley Osamas. Not legit!! Triplestrum pwns you.
