Help Me Find a New Lens

I found my old Sony video camera in my room and can get around 120 trade in for it so I'm probly gonna buy a new lens. I'm thinking about getting a 50mm right now. The number one thing I would like in this lens is good low light performance. I would be willing to get an old manual focus lens. I don;t know a whole lot about lenses, but right now I'm deciding between the Canon 1.8 or 1.4 but would like other suggestions.
 
I Have Tamron 18-250 f3.5 and the kit lens but I never use it.

I also forgot to mention I film on a t2i.
 
can't give you suggestions unless you say what you want you use it for/what kind of shots you want to take, what are you willing to spend?
 
Sorry I'm mainly gonna be shooting video, since I live in Minnesota most of out skiing comes at night so I want a good lens for shooting video at night and since the 50mm 1.4 is 350ish i'd say thats the max.
 
I have the 50mm 1.8 and I love it. Also it's cheap so if money is an issue, get that but otherwise go for the 1.4
