Help me fill in my quiver!

Hey guys, I'm new here, but not to skiing. I've been skiing for the past 13years. I consider myself an advance-expert skier. I'm looking to get 2 skis to finish up my quiver. I currently own Armada AR5's and Volkl Sumos. I ski about 60 days a year, 15 of which are out west. I ski mostly Jay Peak, Stowe, Whiteface, and Backcountry in the east. Sorry if I'm rambling, but basically I'm looking for a stiff twin and my everyday eastcoast/ crappy weather westcoast ski, and a soft(doesnt have to be a twin) ski for my everday westcoast/ soft snow, backcountry eastcoast ski. I will also be using the twins for bc booters. Also I'm 5'8" 125lbs, but have been hitting the gym to gain weight, so hopefully i can put on a good 10-20lbs by next year. Alright so I'm currently looking at the

Head Mojo 90-176cm

Volkl Karma-177cm

Public Enemy-174cm, 179cm

as my everday eastcoast/ crappy weather westcoast ski and

4frnt VCT-175cm

Rossi Scratch BC-171cm, 178cm

as my everday westcoast/ soft, backcountry east coast ski

also the Scott P4 looks interesting for next year.Price is not an issue as of right now, although most likely one of the skis will be bought used.

dont forgot about the volkl karma, that sounds good for you. I've never ridden any of those so i cant really help, but you should just demo them, all the ones you listed would fulfill your needs, its really about what you like the best.
 
The Mojo 90s and VCT/Gotamas/Pistols with AR5s and Sumos.Ohhhh that would be the best quiver I could think of. I really dont think you can go wrong with any of your choices though.
 
Head Mojo's own the east coast, hands down

I would say Mojos because they are stiff and a VERY bombproff ski, very well made. K2 pistol/vicous because they are softer and thats what your looking for
 
i have a pair of karmas and they kick ass, def get those for east coast, and if your looking for a fun, soft twin for pow the seth vicious' are your best bet
 
why would do you have sumo's is my question, theyre like $900 arent they

anywho mojo 90 and viscious are my vote
 
Definitely get the Gotamas as your west coast ski, those things kick ass. But for your everyday ski, you probably shouldn't be looking at the Mojo's with at your weight, I think they'd kick your ass. I weigh 160 and I think I'm on the lighter side of what that ski is designed for, so you should probably check into the PE's in that category. But if you really think you can get those extra 20 lbs on by next season, get the mojo's for sure, they're an incredible everyday ski.

Do you think your AR5s are too soft? PEs would be a great choice with a mid-wide platform for on piste, and this years ARVs are soft and sick at the BC :)
 
Karma 177 for east, Gotama 183 for west.

the gotama's kick ass even out east, as long as the snow is somewhat soft. such a fun ski. never rode the karma's but if they are anything like the V-pro's then the would be perfect.
 
chronic wides for east coast, and scratch bc, arvs, motherships, elizabeths, fisher kehua (it's sick, trust me), big trouble would all be good, you already have sumos so you don't need something really fat like made'ns or prophets, but i think your looking for a mid range fat twin, and those are the best. and chronic wides kill all mountain, and are sick for park, lighter than karmas.
 
Wow..a lot more responses than I expected. Thanks guys. I am not really a fan on Line-I've broke 2/2 pairs I've owned. Has anyone skied the VCT or Blizzard Titan Nine?As for whether I want that stiff of a ski and whether I can handle it. Yes and yes. Once again thanks.
 
Karma or Mojo 90 for everyday east coast.

Most of the skis you posted for you soft backcountry skis are actually pretty stiff (vicious, gotama, etc). If you want a softer wide ski get some Maden AKs.
 
I'm liking the Mojo 90s-Ill be demoing some next weekend. I'm still kind of confused on the fatter ski. Any word on the Scott P4?They look interesting. Also I like what I hear about the Mojo 105. I'll also be demoing Vicious' and Gotamas next weekend.Thanks.
 
this is what i've heard "The P4 is interesting. It's pretty stiff in the tip, so it held great at speed, but the tail is really soft. when i would revert from switch, it would be buttering around more than any fat ski ive been on. it's a little more of a playing around ski than the vct, but i like to mess around, and that ski was great for it."
 
Yeah what you will probably find out is that you don't need a "soft" powder ski. The vicious and gotama are both relatively stiff. The trend for pow skis is getting wider and stiffer, so much so that most of the guys in V-Crew who had the vicious (pretty stiff) gave it up because it wasn't stiff enough. Do some research and ski something for half a season out west and you'll find out for yourself.
 
karmas are perfect for everday out east. then for west powder and other east days id reccomend the vicious's, but demo them first. the VCT's are also a great choice for what you need.
