NS i need your help. i left this in the regionals and got some people to back it up on FB. all i'm asking is if you guys could go on facebook and like the comment i made regarding my home mountain (snoqualmie) half pipe.http://www.facebook.com/summit.terrain.parks?ref=ts

so i left this comment on snoqualmies park facebook page about the halfpipe and how its a waste of space and we should get rid of it and fill it in with something else. read below and if you agree you should go to their facebook page and like it and leave a comment about whatever and see if we can change this if you all agree with it. My name is Sam Carson so you will know what comment it is.
this is what i left.
just wondering why we cant build a halfpipe in a LA NINA year with tons of snow in the middle of winter while Mt. HOOD can build 3 in the middle of summer and now they are adding another with not so much snow. just wondering cause our halfpipe is a waste of space cause we havent built one in quite a few years, so you should get rid of the dirt mold and sell the halpipe equipment and get new jibs/ make new jibs.
please read this cause we could have such a better park with the space that pipe takes up, and also if you guys did build a halfpipe this year, nobody would know how to use it cause nobody knows how to ride a pipe and do anything in it so it would be a waste of time to make it. I'm sure those pipe cutters or whatever they are called and whatever else you need to create a pipe could go towards alot of jibs and other stuff and maybe increase your pay wage for working on park crew. =)

One of my Home mntns (Hidden Valley Pa) has the exact same problem. Its the shittiest halfpipe I have ever seen. Its a squarepipe. I should consider ranting on their

if you want to be taken even semi seriously i would seriously consider trying to tune that up a little, perhaps a little more professional.

and no offense, but resorts dont need suggestions from kids who ski there on weekends. its just the reality of it. if they wanted your opinion, they would hire you and pay you to give it. what you think might be commen sense like "sell all your cutters you dont use and make new jibs", might be a lot more complicated situation.

i dont meen to sound like a dick, i used to bug my local resort all the time about retarded things they did in and around there park, then i got a little older, learned about business, and realized why all these things just didnt happen over night.

also, you say we, my, ours alot. you dont own any portion of the resort, infact im fairly certain you pay to ride there like most people, which makes you a customer, not a owner.

maybe if we didnt have the halfpipe area, we could deploy more than 10 of our 50+ jibs (I have no idea how much we actually have) at one time.

at the hill i ski at, we have a halfpipe, but it's really crappy, and they don't maintain it at all. so i'm in the same boat as you, sorta. i think they should make a kicker where it is instead.

instead of getting rid of the whole half pipe, y not just ask for a quarter of it? thats what happened with my mountain's half pipe but i dont think anyone really cared for it

hahahahahhahahahhahahah

i know exactly what you're talking about

some of the jibs there are actually pretty legit tho

same with my mountain they groom it once a year, and they use to have a halfpipe comp once a year, then they stoped doing that so the pipe is useless all year.

I'm sort of in the same boat as you in that I think they shouldn't just leave the Snoqualmie halfpipe the way it is. However, I really enjoy skiing pipe, and I think it would be a valuable feature to have in the park. So instead of just destroying the halfpipe and adding more jibs, they should just manicure the pipe we already have. I hate going all the way to Stevens to ski their shitty small ass pipe, when I should be able to ski a full superpipe only 45 minutes away. Just my opinion, but whatever.

my mountain used to have the worst, icyest pipe i had ever skied and last year they got rid of it and everyone expected them to fill that area with more park features but they dont put anything there at any time in the season. that might just be my mountain having a lazy park crew that dont do anything except build miniature parks near the park shed at the top of the park and do weed and yell at kids for not having park passes then go and screw up the lips to the jibs. so i would just keep it because you probably already have a decent park cause its out west and a shitty pipe is better than no features

At least you have a park crew Squirely, at my home hill the riders donate the jibs and set them up and everything. The groomer just comes around and makes crappy jumps and runs into the rails and bends them every now and then.

Pipe+park=JIBPIPE

My mountain is doing it this year in a small 6-8ft pipe and im pretty stoked for it

Most mountains are getting rid of them because they cost alot to make the snow for them or at Wachuestt they cant have one since the tree huggers got mad that they cut two new trails to be made for the pipe and park but Wawa decided the pipe was already in a good enough spot. So they sued wawa and now no more pipe for Wawa unless its on one of the new small trails.
