Help me classify my new Look Bindings

I just got these babies in and am planning on putting them on my 181 AR6's. On the Box it says P12RACING W. I guess the 'W' stands for Wide brake?! The brakes seem fairly wide (something like 105mm) and I hope it won't be a problem putting them on my AR6's (86mm).

They have a toe piece similar to my PXs with a DIN 4-12 and a Heel piece like P18's, but with a DIN 5-12.

They are a very light binding and look and feel very solid.

They only weigh 1050g (1/2 pair) and my other Rossi Scratch 120's weigh 1185g and Rossi Axial2 120 w/Lifter 1275g.

So if they are a very solid binding and also being reasonably light, that would kick ass. Plus they are like the minimum lifted binding and are as close to the ski as it can get.

Are these like FKS120 and are they a good and durable binding cause I can't find any info on the internet?

Then they're definitely a keeper.

Gonna try them out this weekend.

I should probably order another pair 'cause these are probably gonna be hard to find in the future.

the freeride version always has a stock wide break i have a pair of FKS 185 freerides and they have the wide break. check colorado freeskier. ik they dont have any more FKS185 with wide breaks but they may have 155s with em.

Yeah those are the same as fks 120's. Sick score on that one. I never new they came with wide breaks.

Sure they do. I asked them how many they have left in stock and they told me that I can buy 10 if I wanted to.

But the shop is in Germany, so ...

The heel is actually very similar to the Rossi Scratch 140, which also has a pivot heel.

Actually I am thinking of selling my Look PX12 Ti Jibs & Axial2 TIs as they don't have pivot heels.

woah wierd. new PX toe with the dropped contact plate, and turntable heel, and wide brakes. im buyin some of those this season, cause i can get dem at COST!

Weird. I just pulled out my 05/06 Scratch 140s which have the turntable heel. Then I looked online -- the new ones don't have it anymore, they're like the Axial/PX series (06/07). So it looks like the old Scratch 140s had the FKS heel for awhile, then they switched. Too bad, I like the wider arm design on the FKS heel, it is much more solid.

no, scratch 140s never had the fks heel. they had the pivot heel, like this, if thats what youre talking about.

+ you're right.! My bad. But the old Scratch 140 is somewhere in-between the FKS and the PX/Axial design. The PX/Axials don't have the wide-mounted arms on the heel. The new Scratch 140s are now the PX/Axial design. I really liked the wide-mounted style.. it had a similar feel to a race binding.

Weird your link isn't working:

They aren't fks tho, they are p12s that are race stock. Dope binders, ill stick to fks155 tho.

how much did you pay for those in USD?

and does anybody know of a different site that's selling those? i wannnt them... exactly what i need...

It's the FKS 120 from the short period between when they started making PX and stopped making FKS. It's got a PX12 toepiece, just like all FKS 120s before that had a P12 toe.

The site is also available in English if you click the flag on the right hand at the top.

The only thing it says about the Binding is this:

Look Pivot 12 Racing black

world cup technology for park & pipe

DIN Range: 4-12

manufacturer: Look

item number: 72104202

Congrats, you bought the best park bindings available. I have the FKS 120s, and those look exactly the same. They have a super durable heel, the brakes will never blow up on you. The toe piece alsso has an upward release for nasty falls, unlike the 155 and 180s.

^Thanks and I couldn't agree more. I tried them out today and couldn't be happier.

The turntable heel piece is amazing and the toe piece is the same as the PX's just with a lower standing height.

The feel of the skis with these Bindings is as natural as it can get. I like the fact that the standing height is as low as possible.

The best thing that I like is that the heel piece doesn't kill the flex of the ski like the latest PX12's do and it doesn't stick out at the back of the boot like all others do and they feel very light and with minimum swing weight.

Plus they are made with quality materials and they look like a very lasting and reliable Binding.

In fact I am so satisfied that I will get myself 2 more pairs (as soon as I get the dough) for my future 08 skis cause I'm definitely not putting any other Binding on my skis!
