Help Me Choose Between Two Longboards

Ok, so i just got my longboard last summer in whistler. I didnt really

know anything about it so I just bought whatever looked cool. It was

called CREATION. It was great for a starter deck but I wanna step it

up. Im looking at either getting a loaded vanguard or the kracked

skulls schmitar decks. Also, whats the difference between the ks

schmitar and the m1??? I have the money to drop on the loaded, but if i

bought that i would literally have $0 in the bank and wanna save some

for ski season and i have heard great things about kracked skulls. Any help appreciated

I posted this in the Longboard Cult too

I don't know about Kracked Skulls, but I have a Loaded Dervish and I love it. It carves nice, easy to slide, and it's stable when bombing hills. My friend has a Vanguard and I've used it a few times. Really good for carving, but I had a harder time doing slides on it compared to my Dervish and it seemed a little bit less stable at high speeds. I'm sure someone else could tell you more about Kracked Skull boards but in my opinion I would say you can't go wrong with Loaded.

get the vanguard.hands down.
i have ridden both and nothing will ever compare to a loaded, no matter what the model.

Kracked Skulls for sure and learn boneless 360 finger flips and reverts as soon as possible because i just tried them at high speed and they are mad cool.

I just got a KS yesterday, its fun as fuck. But I've never ridden a board by the mighty Loaded so I don't know. My guess is that the KS is definately more than half as good as the Loaded, and its less than half the price, so there you go. Plus you can always just buy a loaded deck somewhere down the road and you'll already have all the hardware from the KS.

SEMI RELATED THREAD JACK!

so im headin down to the mall now and i know zumiez sells arbors and sector 9s for decently cheap, would those be as good as a kracked skull? i like the KS but i hate buying stuff online cause i dont really get to feel the product. plus price of a KS w/ shipping is about the same as any board zumiez would have.

most boards that appear to have no grip tape, really do.its just clear.

Get your board without grip tape and buy some separately, it's really fun to do a custom design.

I love my KS board but no question about it, Loaded is a better board if you have the money. When I have money for a new one I'm getting Loaded. Make sure to get drop-through trucks though, so much better. Oh, and also, don't get Abec wheels... the inside edges of them tend to chip really badly after extended use. I thought it was just because I ride my board up on the grass a lot to control my speed on steep hills, but my friend says he goes down his rocky dirt road every day on his and his wheels are fine. He's also seen other people with Abecs who have the same problem, I guess. Anyways, fuck Abecs, and get a Loaded if you have the cash.

Dervish for sure.its such a fun board, it will last forever, and its basically the only choice if you ever want to try any sort of ground tricks.theres some great youtube videos about it if you want to see it in action.

The Loaded Vanguard is such a nice deck does pretty much anything you want it to. But it is not a beginers board. You may think you like that board but there wont be any chance of you shredding it to its full potential and won't be able to have a lot of fun on it for a while.

Go wit hteh kracked skulls or any sector 9 deck. they are much much cheaper, will last you longer, you wont have to buy new trucks or wheels for a while, and it will just be a much more enjoyed ride. After this summer than see if you need to throw down the dough for a loaded deck.

ok, so most of the people here are just shouting out there allegiances and I wouldnt trust it.

First of all what will you be using this board for? Just cruising around campus or bombing hills? Because there are way too many people who get a loaded board just to cruise around campus, a complete waste of money. If you arent going over 30mph on your board then a piece of plywood with trucks will do. Whats really important is a decent set of bearings and wheels cause then you dont have to push as much. But thats for cruising around campus.

If you are actually going to bomb hills than you want a more stable board most likely with drop through trucks for more stability and closer to the ground. Actually invest a decent amount in your board and a loaded dervish is better here. Just dont forget about the your bearings and wheels.

well thats my advice.

ok thanks everyone thats helped. just dropped the money on the dervish and im sooo stoked. havent gotten to ride it to its full potential yet because i gotta do homework but ill keep you updated if anyone even cares
