im 5'9, 140 pounds and im looking for a ski that is on the softer side, but still has alot of pop, but not noodle soft, and not so soft that you wash out every time you dont land correctly. i ski 95% park then the other 5% all mountain. I have a few skis that i am trying to choose from. hoping that people that have experience on them can give me a better insight on the ski than just reading the facts. I also want a very duriable ski that is extreamly fun to ski on. these are the skis that i am interested to hear about.

K2 extreame 174

line octoland anthem 178

salomon suspects 176

4frnt TNK 175

volkl wall 177

thank you for the help!!

anthems would be a sick choice and alot of fun.

I would forget the Extreme and look into the k2 disorderly as you will be skiing so much park.

The wall is quite a stiff ski, not as playful as the anthem.

Suspects look dope, havent tried them but all accounts are good.

from my understanding of what you want and your size i dont think the extremes fit your needs too well. Im not going to lie, i dont know too much about the other skis you listed but just from people who i have met who ride them and from flexing a few of them you would probably be happy with either of those skis. Here is a list of some skis i know, that would probably be good for you.

+Nordica supercharger ignitions, i rode a pair of these for about 4 days this summer and have been using them for jib sessions we have had in the few inches of snow we have gotten.

+Line chronics i had a pair for about 40 days, loved them they are at the stiffer side of your preference but they have amazing pop

+Fischer addicts my current ski ive had them the hole season and have only gotten a few edge cracks, again they fall under the morer stiff side of your ski preference but, they are symmetrical, not too heavy, lots of pop, and they still handle great on the rest of the mountain

for a little insite, im 5'11'' and 200 pounds, while im heavier i think they could still work for you

superchargers are the softest and chronics are a little stiffer than the addicts, but the chronics quickly softened up into a ski with very playful tips and tails but still solid underfoot. the superchargers are also about a medium flex throught the ski and have very soft tips and slightly soft tails, they are really fun.

I have a pair of scratch bc wrs(yellow/white ones) and they kill it in the park and are great all mountain, they are in near new condition and have barely been rode at all, i think they may have 1 edge crack, if you are interested i could go look and give you exact details, perfect bases mounted for rossi axial2 bindings at the modern point. may be a little stiffer than what you are looking for but they are super light and really poppy

extremes are a sick park ski if your doing a lot of jumps, super stable and stiff so you wont wash out, they arent as heavy as the p.e. was so its better for playing around on, but it is on the stiffer side which is the only reason i wouldnt suggest it.

but i advise you demo some stiffer skis and see how you like them, big stiff skis changed the way i ski and have made me so much better

i have a piar of salomon dumonts, i like them, have some nice pop. But thier not as playful as i was hoping. The skis i had before the dumonts, dynastar trouble makers, i enjoyed alot, they were soft and fun to ride and butter on. the dumonts are fun but just alittle stiff for my liking.

there have been some weird responses in this thread...

if you're looking for something on the softer side, obviously anthems are gonna be the softest. they're still fairly stable and the extra width makes it a touch stiffer than the invader.

also, the atomic punx is gonna be on the softer side, but with a sidewall sandwich construction its gonna be more durable. same can be said for the suspect, which is slightly stiffer than the punx.

extremes arent going to have the pop you want, addicts are going to be too stiff, as are chronics, ingitions are a strange flex (really stiff underfoot, softer tip and tail, ive described it as brittle feeling before). i dont have a lot of expirence with 4frnt, but i believe the tnks are a bit on the stiffer side, but have a lot of pop.

ya, i knew the addicts and chronics would probably be too stiff but i went from liking softer skis and tried some stiffer skis out and loved them. and those skis arent really all that stiff, they have a stiffer flex but they arent mad stiff

and are you saying you didnt like ignitions?

i liked them alot because they gave stability for jumps and then tip/tail were so soft it made butters so fun. a little claim here but im using it as an example, i got switch cork 10s on them and fat butter cork 3/5s so they are super versatile in that way and 270s onto rails seemed so easy with them

DUDE! Get the octoland Anthems! One Anthems are sick. Two those are limited edition. Three Pollard made the design. Go with the anthems, they'll butter super good along with pop extremely well. Great for what you do dude. Get them dude! Spiral is super sick too.

Go with the suspects they are a little on the stiff side but i ve only heard good reviews on them and everyone says they are sick... they are super durable on rails because of this new salomon edge technology... so if your hittin up the park i would go with the suspect

http://www.lineskis.com/product/invader

Invader is definately a soft ski, its symmetrical and has no swing weight, perfect jib ski. i suggest you get it at 171cm because youre skiing with less on a centre mount. a ski for spinning and all sorts of jibbing.

exactly like the invader, wider dimensions tho (hopefully every NSer knows this), very soft built more as a versatile ski to be in and out of the park. definately looks sick when you stomp big, slow, and stylie tricks.

Atomic Punx- very soft ski. once again its symmtrical very similar to the invader with a 112-82-112

perfect for a park rat. if you have a lil more bank id buy these over the invaders at either a 164 or 173. I think Jossi Wells uses a 173 and he's no tall drop of water

http://www.salomonsports.com/us/#/ski/skis/freeski/threat

Salomon Threat- very similar to the Suspect with a 122-85-112 dimension. a lot softer than the suspect to with more flex and the ends weighs 300grams less than Suspect too. however its not reinforeced like counterparts Dumont and Suspect at the waist. A lot cheaper too at an MSRP of $450 and prolly can get these for 350 or less at some stores. I'd get these in a 171cm.

hope this helps!
