Help ME Choose a CAR

Alright so first off i know i am very lucky, and some what spoiled. But being a only child and grandchild does have its benefits. SO my mom has a very high position at chrysler and i can choose from any chrysler car i want within some reason (under 50k). I will only have to keep it for 6 months to a year and currently my mom has a jeep cherokee and my dad drives two jeep grand wagoneers. I live in detroit so it doesnt snow a lot but i go up north every weekend so awd would be nice. But if i were to get a rwd car i could possibly still my moms car for the weekend but it would turn into a huge inconvenience. I am really interested in the Challenger srt8 392, however it is only rwd. I am also very interested in the new 300 or charger which i could get with awd and a 5.7 litre.

WHAT DO?

And i know i probably forgot some info and +K for intelligent responses

Your dad is the man. He could have any new chrysler and he's like "Nah, I'mma stick with the wagoneers."

GANGSTER!

hahaa yeah i know... granted one has a 6.6 litre crate engine and the other is soon to get a 6.7 cummins turbo diesel

The Charger's one of the nicest looking cars on the road IMO + you could just use any of the 3 cars your parents own to get to the hill. I'd probably go with the charger

get the srt8, then buy a really shitty used pickup for ski season

but drive the srt8 around detroit and be a boss

DUDE.... SRT8 Jeep. AWD and it hauls sooo much ass. It'll take a viper off the line (obviously loose in the end but its initial acceleration is nuts) and it sounds boss.

get a 300, murder it out, put it on dubs, have sex with black girls.

boom. upper-class white kid to ghetto trap star in just minutes.

this is true. but the position i am in i would be getting the 2012 version for cheaper than any of those.

So then snatch that up asap? Seems like a no-brainer if you can get the newest model for cheaper than a used one and it's still under 50k.

Did you even read the OP?

Dude said right off the bat he's lucky and a little spoiled. Mom's most likely not paying either, it's probably a comrporate lease that he ended up with because his dad is a motherfucking pimp who'd rather smash curbs with his rad wagoneers and doesn't need a chintzy shiny piece of shit newfangled sally car. (that's how I imagine his dad talks anyways)

dude if you only have to deal with a car for 6 months, get rwd in the summer and awd for winter.

but really:

anything but the jeep srt8, you cant own that car and not be a complete tool. buying that car literally will turn you into a douchey piece of shit.

assuming your not paying for gas....id go with a sick new cherokee with the v8 hemi or srt if you can. Those things are pretty fast, and you still have the space of a suv, decent handling, awd, and you can drive over curbs , offroad a little, in snow or whatever.

get a charger. i never would, but thats because cops drive chargers in my town and i hate it when i see chargers, i think theyre cops no matter what.

actually go for the challenger. its way sicker IMO

Given any thought to a 4 door rubicon?

Decent gas mileage, looks great and is basically unstoppable. Convertible in the summer and driving with no doors is always fun. If you have to pay for gas, this should be on the list to try.

I have thought about it from the gas mileage stand point but i have a job so i can afford the gas of a v8

Yeah but do you WANT to? It's a lot of money you could be spending on cool shit like ski gear.

I also drive a big F250 Super Duty for work, and last weekend I blew through about $120 in gas. Two days. $120. I could have bought like four phillipino hookers for that, and I was babying the sonofabitch. If you get the SRT8 Jeep, I'd bet on spending several hundred a week on gas if you go places. Just a thought.

please explain my stupidity ? where was it shown in my posts ? because i made typos typing fast and not reading over my post ?

shut the fuck up.

Hahaha ohhhh you mad.

He clearly said he was not paying sticker price (or perhaps you didn't pick up on the somewhat obvious sarcasm in his post about the price), yet you jump in and question whether he knows if "K" means thousand, not hundred, followed by some idiotic remark about Miley Cyrus. Also, it seems that if you disagree with someone, the only thing you have to say is, "shut the fuck up". VERY intelligent response. You're gonna have to try a little harder there, champ.

To OP, sorry for potentially derailing your thread. In my opinion, I would stay away from RWD in Michigan. My buddy has a Mustang GT, and even with sandbags in the trunk, it absolutely blows in the winter. He says it sucks to drive unless the roads are pretty much clear, and if there's more than an inch of snow on the ground, just forget it. I would veer toward something with either FWD, or preferably AWD. IMO, I'd go for a 4door Wrangler with a manual trans. Just because you can get something expensive, doesn't mean that you have to. I personally think that the 300 is lame as fuck, and while the Jeep SRT8 is pretty sweet, it gets phenomenally bad gas mileage (~13 combined). Just my $.02
