Help me break my Zen Micro to scam Zellers

Alright here's the deal, I need a way to break my Zen Micro in an inconspicious(sp) way so I can get my money back, or upgrade, or store credit.

I've heard that peoples headphone jacks wear out quickly on them, but I've always kept it inside an altoids case when I'm listening to it so it still works fine.

Any other ideas that i could use to fool Zellers into taking it back?

BTW I'm planning on calling Zellers first to see if they will refund my player because it's "defective" for whatever reason I plan on breaking it to see if i get a refund

I doubt they'll give you an upgrade or store credit. They usually just replace whatever you bought, unless there is some kind of warranty that Creative has.

ya but if they give you a new one you can take the new one back to a different zellers and just say i bought it but decided i didnt want it anymore.. alot of work but if you wanted store credit badly you could always do that

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO:

plug it in and upload the biggest file you can to it, then while its uploading shake it like crazy.. i think that will work

i have it right here, for sure to work,

say i have a computer that doesnt have USB or say i have a mac or windows 3.1 which it doesnt support the Zen

Just carry it around in your pocket for a while. Thats how mine broke. I send my micro in 3 times and everytime I get a new one back it breaks within 2 months.

simple... open it up, turn on and drip some water inside. it will fry a few things.

dont just submerge in water, that will fry all

dude just take it back,, say it freezes on occation,,, and they will be like ok,, and give u money back,, zellers and wal mart are the easiest stores to return stuff

i think we might have a winner.

and the idea of getting the new one, and taking it to another zellers is also sweet, I'll try those and see how it goes.

and the people that work at my local zellers are easy to scam, even my mom does it when she shops there.

ie mom- "this rug was on the sale table" (it wasn't)

cash- "ok... the only code that's working is 50% off, whatever"

I wouldn't open it, or use water. They have ways of telling both, even if zellers doesn't check for it, creative will, and as far as I know, they will refer you to creative warranty because you have had it for a while.

tell them that it shocks you when you turn the hold on/off, but only occasionally.

that's an electrical problem, that they can't say you caused, it's bullet proof and hsa worked before.

You cant open it, they have something there that says warranty void if seal broken. U cant do anything physical to it cause they can tell, you have to microwave it or do some freaky deaky shit to it so that they can tell your doing it on purpose

if its one of the ones that a batery slips into just cut the wire that the battery touches. the curly metal one.

yea i got store credit from circut city when my Creative Zen nano broke, i smashed the little wheel thing

should have bought it at walmart they let you return soooo much. This kid i know would go and buy like 3 laptops that came with a mail and rebate thingy so he'd buy them send in to get the rebate which is like 100$ each and then return them and get his money back,

they have a little sticker in there somewhere that will turn a certain color if it touches water, i'm not sure of it, but some products do have them
