HELP: Importing footage on to a MacBook

i just got a Panasonic pv-gs320 and I'm having trouble importing footage on to my MacBook using iMovie HD. Can anyone give me advice on importing footage on a MacBook or could give me instructions on what to do afer connecting the USB/firewire cable to import footage on iMovie?

well i know usb doesnt work on my macbook, has to be firewire. Other than that all you have to do is set your camera on play and its pretty straight forward...

Im pretty sure Mac and PC have two different files that they support with the RAW footage.

MAC = DV

PC = AVI

Correct me if im wrong.
