ive been skiing for 4 years and i just got a pair of 2001 salomon 1080 oranges, i need to get bindings for them, but i have no idea what to get.. i was looking at getboards.com and i found a pair of bindings i think they wer called salomon T91's or sumthing but i need a binding thatll work good in the park and still be good on the mountain. i need sumthing responsive since ive been ski boarding for a year (cough) please help

I didn't think bindings had anything to do with how responsive a ski was... Just get a quality look/rossi or salomon binding. If you're talking about the S912 Ti, it's a great binding.

How heavy are you? Do you beat up on skis? What would you consider your 'skier level' to be, we'll say one, 2, or 3. Write back, we can help you before you go droppin cash on a binding that sux or won't fit your skis (cause ya prolly need wider breaks).

yeah, I agree. Try to stay away from bindings that have a large amount of plastic pieces (lower end bindings usually). These do not last well on rails.

Go for a binding that has a DIN of 12. You could get away with 10, but you'll be better off spending an extra $30 for a better binding.

Go for Look P12, or my favorite Salomon S912Ti

I would say stick with a rossi or look binding. I have never had any troubles with those, just make sure they are the higher end ones with a minimal amount of plastic.

My friend had a pair of the blue 1080's with the salomon S912's and he some how managed to mess up the brake on both of his skis from we believe rails...has anybody else seen this problem?

jma is right salomon=CRAP. as for busting the brakes, any time the ski comes off on a fakie lading or something backwards the brake will be forced in the opposite direction as what it's mean to and it will possible brake. so utill someone finds a solution, this will happen on all brands of bindings. blah, blah, blah..

I had marker 1200 frees and had no prolblem but i getting looks less prolblems i here nad cheaper than a marker on ebay

DO NOT GET MARKER. heres why. marker is the best bindings for beginners because of safety but suck if you wanta go big. there is some sort of safety release on marker (like 44mm) as apose to other bindings(i think 88mm) this is because marker bindings are desinged to reduce injuries more then other bindings so they release under lesser pressure so if you are getting air or have a lot of torque on the ski (agressive) then they will release. i use to have marker bindings on my race skis and they would always pop off around tight turns and if i tried kickers with them they would pop off during landings. my best bet is look or rossi but i do like the solomon toe peice the best because it hugs your boot but the heal peice along with break is complete shit

marker is good
