Help! I can't figure out how to take off a panel covering my firewire!!!

So ive had this computer since '03, and up until now ive been fine with not being able to edit... but now im getting pissed off.... i know that my computer has a fire wire slot, but it is covered by some panels... i can't figure it out! NS, plz help me.....

sorry to say this, but it looks like your computer doesn't have a firewire port...unless it's on the front. if those panels are still there, it means that there are no peripheral cards installed, cuz you take them off when there's something installed.

You have to remove the panels from the interior. Open the side walls and take off the cover. If you claim the firewire is behind one of the panels, remove the fire wire from that port thingy then take out the panel. Hope that helps. Sorry I dont ahve a desktop in front of me so I cant really look at one to be more descriptive

Yeah you do not have a firewire. You cant have a card installed and one of the metal covers installed into the same slot. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to install however.
