HELP! Got my bindings mounted 5- (factory recommendation)

I am going to use my skis primary in the park, but also a lot of grooming. But it was a little bit strange that the factory recommendation was 5cm bakwards? Isn't this a little bit to much? How will this skis work in the park?

Yeah, nice. I am not really a pro yet, so I only jump on mid-size jumps and the best trick I take is 360. And I also ride a lot of all-mountain, so I won't really feel any difference on the 360s and the mid-size jumps with landings etc when I have the bindings 5cm backmounted? Is this best for me? Or should I centre mount them?

My Pipe Cleaners are -5 and they are fine. I have owned center mounted skis before and I dont think it makes a big difference. The biggest difference is mental.

5cm back is preferable if you ride the rest of the mountain a decent amount

Don't centremount.

ur good man!
people center mount WAY to much and ruin a ski that would be much better suited being mounted farther back as the other brahs in this thread have said.
ur golden!

Mine are at -2.5 and are really good all over, I don't see why an extra 2.5 cm would be anything crazy different.

Ok, guys. Thanks! I asked the same question in a norwegian forum (I am from Norway), and almost everyone said "Centre mount them! You will do 360 and 180 a lot easier" "If you wan't to jibb for real, you should centre mount them" And things like that. But I think I should liscen to u guys ;)

Thanks!

So the pros like Tanner Hall, Colby and Sammy Carlson have the bindings mounted at "factory recommended"? Or do they have it 100% centre mounted?

Why do you think they have a "recommended" line?

That's where they ride best...that's where the center of the ski's sidecut is...that's where they were designed to be ridden.

Leave them there.

Yes, ok. I will ;)

But another question, my friend is also going for new skis this season. He is 188m tall, and wan't the Armada AR6. He rides 60% all-mountain and 40% in the park. How long skis should he go for? 176 or 181? It is his first season with twintips, but he has been riding carving skis for ten years. Or should he go for a ski that is longer then 181?

I forgott to say that he is 18 years old, and I don't think that he will grow much more. Probably 1cm at max I guess.

Its easy, go for the 180+.. Because of the twintip it will ski like a 170ish ski.. good luck
