Hey, looking to buy a new (06/07) jacket on the cheap. Im basically looking at two items.

First is the Siver Cartel Temple Jacket. It seems to be more of a shell and doesn't have taped seams. Any information about this jacket would help. It looks like this:

The second one im looking at is the Burton Ronin ALS Hooded jacket. It seems to be a "fully" insulated job. I can get this to match my favorite snowpant, but thats not a huge deal to me. Any experience or additional information about this would help. It looks like this:

Oh, 8k/8000g is the Siver rating and the Ronin weighs in at 10k/5,000g. Im looking to use it most of the time and I want something with versatility, so if i get the siver i can wear a fleece under it or something. I was wondering if the Ronin got a little warm for those 30 to 35 degree days

or go for the super sick one piece but i cant find a good picture of it right now... HH = the best

HH is also expensive as hell. What do you ski in weather wise? Cold East coast, wet rain days, balmy inversions... any hiking in your bag (cause then you need to be thinking about vents)... depends on a lot.

yeah, this is important, as now all of my gear is kinda overboard since i moved to colorado, but back home in washington, at least 15K waterproofing is mandatory.

get the planet earth jackson pro setup in white/brown. i dont think i ever saw one skier or snowboarder with that setup this year and it would be sick if it was super baggy

northern wisconsin. averages between 15 and 25, but there are warm springs and cold febuary's. some hiking but not enough to effect the decision.
