Help finding soft light park skis

On ARV 96 right now, in 184cm I’m 6’4.

I want something more playful as the ARV’s are stiff. They hold up so well though and the 96mm under foot is comfortable on rails. Want something a little lighter also to spin of rails a little easier and swap quicker. Also going to get new K2 boots to hopefully help shinbang and give me some good feel so I can pedal better. So far I’ve considered the Vishnu Key, Surface Give’r, BDog 2023, Liberty Helix 88, or the J skis All Plays. Also on the east coast so more rails then jumps, but I am hoping to progress on to flips on these ARV 96s, so a little hold up would be nice.

Keys would be a good choice they are noticeably lighter than the ARVs and considerably softer.

The only vishnus in stock are keys in 189cm and at plus 189cm so I might have to get them

I’m 6’3 riding 184s Allplays, the length isn’t an issue for park but for just riding hard all over the mountain i overpower them quite a bit

184 is still short for 6'3, I mean im out here on 180s sitting at 5'6. Young troll skier named jeb is rocking 189 keys and is 5'7.

honestly its just their graphics. yeah they can be hit or miss, but graphics are just graphics. they dont make a ski great or not.

Icelantic Nomad95’s are a pretty light, playful ski with longer options at 186,191. I rode the 191’s and I’m about 6’1 they were fun

I'm 6'6 on 184 Poachers. Ski companies just don't cater to us. Gotta do what you gotta do.

OP, my 6'3 buddy rides 184 Poachers (similar to your ARV's) and 189 Wet Plus. The Plus are way flexier, way lighter, and mad playful than the Poachers, without being noodles. They just don't charge/carve as hard, but your ARV's can handle those days. Highly suggest you check those 189 Plus out. Should be popping up on Level9's store very soon.

Also, ON3P skis measure true, so a 186 Mango 100 would be 4cm longer than your ARVs, which usually measure 2cm shorter than advertised. Could also go custom during the on3p summer sale and get some Soft-flex 191 Jeffereys. (which I'm considering ordering once my poachers are shot).

Icelantic makes the Nomad 95 in some longer lengths as well, worth a look.

They make the ugliest graphics in the industry and are kinda overpriced. I think I paid ~$550 for my Wides they want $750 for their equivalent.

To be fair the skis they make that I think are the ugliest pieces of shit on the market are often the ones they sell out of the fastest. So while they are making shit I hate to look at, it's obviously appealing to a lot of people.

No hate to on3p (I own a pair of Jeffery 108s and they are incredible) but $750 is a lot less than $1000-$1250 (depending on the customs you make) that on3p is asking for. VIshnu does have something good going for them with their price and the quality that comes with it.

Concrete isn't my favorite either. But it's $200 less than the J skis Vacations that would be their counterpart. While Im not a fan of the Concrete's I would still ski them and it wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't sit around a campfire and watch a pair of J skis burn because that would be too much looking at em.

Im saying I don't like the company because every single top sheet they have ever made is something I don't enjoy looking at and they are more expensive than any other ski brand I would choose. This isn't some one off top sheet I dislike from them it's literally every top sheet they have ever made. Every company has made a top sheet I dislike J skis just does it on every ski so that's why they get hate from me for it.

Pre-ordered the V's, I think it ended up being $560 or something? Just got some J Hotshots for $500 shipped from their "secret stash." Couldn't find a thing wrong with them. Great skis. Woulda rather got Jeffreys but $$$

People really liked them but they got just a bit too cheesy with their “limited edition” stuff and now all the hype beasts are on them. They’re good skis with a type of supreme branding. That’s literally the reason. Also, some people don’t like J.

Helix 88s are super fun but they're not soft. The flex is similar to the Arv and they have no rocker either.
