Help fast please wood glue?+++++++++++

Wood glue won't bond if the ski has some sort of layer over the wood. It will stick, but it won't bond. This is a common misconception, using wood glue on anything other than wood renders it pretty useless and your screws will be the only thing holding your bindings. Use epoxy. I build furniture and I learned the hard way to always check twice to be sure the glue up I am doing is strong.
 
You're full of shit. Use waterproof wood glue - that's what binding glue is. We asked our buyers for more wood glue and they just sent us to the hardware store to buy waterproof wood glue because it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

The main purpose of binding glue is lubrication anyway, and sealing the holes to some extent. The glue gives very little holding power.
 
if your ski has a wood core, use waterproof wood glue. Dont use regular wood glue cause its water soluble meaning it will dissolve in water. Use outdoor wood glue thats waterproof.

If your ski have a foam core, still use wood glue cause the epoxy will melt the foam! Really...

The only occasion you should use epoxy is when your not sure about the strength of the threads in the holes. JB Weld epoxy has done the job for me in the past!
 
That's another myth. There was a big thread on TGR about it. I nthe end someone drilled a ski and epoxied the holes, let them set then cut the ski in half to inspect it. No damage. There is even a tele company who uses foam/wood mix cores (I think) whose site recommends using epoxy.
 
Ive mounted 2 sets of skis myself, and I use elmers white glue, like the stuff you use in schools. It forms a waterproof barrier to keep water out, and i havent torn out a toe/heel piece yet!
