Alright so i was just wondering if anyone owns the mojo xp boot from

head.... I'm 6 foot about 175 lbs expert skier. intermediate park

skier. average foot shape, width, and instep...i want an all mtn boot

but not sure if the flex on this boot (100/110) will be too stiff for

park riding... just wondering what other peoples experience was with

this boot???

I work at a shop so feel free to suggest other boots but they just have

to be... Head, Atomic, Salomon, or Tecnica... which is what we carry.

Thanks for any help and + karma.

and sorry to post this is SG... just no one was reading it or replying in gear talk

Its a 98mm shell (exactly the same shape as their 120 flex race boot) quite narrow, stubby toe box. The only thing I dont like about these boots is the fact they are huge around the calf. So if you have chicken legs youll be cranking them straight away. Its a medium to high volume over the instep. Wont be too stiff if your over 160 lbs but you may still get shinbang as its definately more performance orientated as opposed to vibration dampening. If you want a similar fit but a little narrower through the calf and tighter through the heel check out the Atomic HIgh Rolla 110. Personally I prefer a dalbello krypton or Full tilt which have a smoother flex, but you MUST try lots of boots on to be sure....

Anyone else? I'm actually looking at the MOJO boot aswell. Found a pair from last year cheap, but my only concern is that I may want to find a boot that has a liner/shell/footbed with more dampening features.

The Lange freestyle boots have amazing liners with all the park oriented shock absorbtion features, but still have a decent flex for when your out of the park.

Anyone ridden the Dalbello Krypton boot. I tryed it on, and you can feel all the flex and boot contact is along the front of your shin, but I might want to stick with a traditional boot instead of a 3 buckle

yeah the only problem with that is i work at a shop and we dont care any freeski boots besides spk's but those things are boats and like im tempted to get a pair but i'd rather have a one quiver boot that could do it all and i'd rather not ski the rest of the mountain in a pair of spk's... and i'd love to consider full tilt's or even dalbello's but we dont carry either just head, atomic, salomon, or tecnica... and i dont wanna get charged a restocking fee to send back a pair of boots i dont like. ya know? so i guess i could try on boots w/ similar lasts and shapes which would probably help a bit but idk this is my first year at the shop and i'm still learning... so any help is greatly appreciatedddd. thanks!

100 is fine, i wouldnt go below 100 myself, teh nordicas i want are only 80 though =/, but so comfy. im probably getting langes, i have wide ass feet though, makes bootfitting tricky

So i was just checking out the SPK line from salomon and i realized the pro model was a 110 flex the kaos a 100 flex and the kreation a 90 flex... so i can get a boot comparable to the spk pro model... two flex options (110/100) a narrower last and a better fitting boot in the head mojo xp...

yeah i ride the mojo boots. im similar size to you and there rad. like actually the best boots ive skid. there super good all over the mountain and nice in the park also. the Mojo boot (not the xp but the black one) is also a super super nice boots. less flex so might work for you!

if you do work at a shop try every boot on you have and speak to whoever sells the boots. Dont get too hung up on the term freeski boots either as alot of these boots are based on other boots from the manufacturer, just softer, diff liner, colour

For instance try on a Head Raptor 120, it fits the same as the mojo xp

Try the atomic Nuke or any atomic race boot, same fit as high rolla, less vibration dampening and no lace up.

Salomon Falcon is the same shape as the salomon Gun, but the gun is softer.

The Nordica Supercharger is the same shell as the Nordica Doberman.

If you try every boot on in the shop it will give you a better idea of what your looking for and use who sells the ski boots in your shop to make a more informed decision.. Good luck

yeah but the raptor is a way different boot, the raptors flex is 110-130, thats way 2 stiff. i agree with some of your other points but there is no point to try on a raptor at all

i rode the XP last year, it was good, but i definately had some problems with it, liner is pretty bare, cold, thin, no real cushion. I got major shinbang with these, and had a booster strap on it.

so about the raptor debate, yes they are the EXACT SAME BOOT...last, different liners, different flex, on the raptor 120 you can change the flex frm 110-120-130. they have the exact same specs though, ramp angle, forward lean, canting, etc... if the MOJO dosent work for u neither will the raptor 120. You could try the....i wanna say RD? cant remember the name but its a race boot with a 110/100 flex, its wider, and has the double power buckle on it. If that dosent work go to a different company, thats what im doin this year, im either gettin SPK Kaos, or Rampages, they fit me alot better and should deal with the shin bang probems

thanks a lot guys! ++k to all... but yeah we just received some nukes the other day so i'll have to give those guys a try and i'm sure we'll have some raptors since thats what both owners are skiing in... i def think that'll help make the decision easier to compare those two.

thanks again guys and if anyone else has anything to share please do! haha
