Help choosing park ski invaders or stls?

im 6,1 140 lbs i want a light weight semi soft ski. i have 06/07 PEs for all mountain skiing i find them to heavy and stiff for park so im looking for 100% park ski. im looking at invaders or stls, what length and any other skis i should consider?
 
invaders are a light, park specific ski. but they are more than semi soft. dont know much about the stl's tho.
 
Skis change from year to year and 4frnt stepped up their shit big time this year, so dont' bag on the new stuff.

You are definitely in between both skis though. IMO invaders are too soft and the stls are too stiff. I'd recommed either some ar6s or maybe some troublemakers. They are more "semi soft" like you're looking for and still perfect for park
 
i had the 05 stl's the white ones and they were really nice, the best way i could describe them is smooth, and they were crazy light, though i heard they are stiffer and heavier now which totally sucks. i have invaders too and id choose those, they are just way fun and poppy and pretty damn light. so get invaders in like a 171
 
are you serious. you give him a choice of 178 and 193 for a park ski...his options should be a lot closer then 15 cm diff...

your prolly gonna want somthin like 178-188 length, depending if you like them longer or shorter. i know people that are 5'9" or so and ride 179, but also people that are just over 6 that do too. its really your opinion. ive never riden stls so i cant help you on that, but a ton of people are riding the invaders and i love mine too so i would deff give a +1 towards you buying them. line has made a lot of improvements in the last 1-2 years ever since they had the prob with the original invaders. they are actaully a lot more solid then they look and perform very well
 
The Invaders are really light, really flexy, have alot of pop, and ski switch really well due to the symmetrical sidecut. They don't have a sintered base though, so you have to keep tehm waxed pretty well or else they are super slow. The last 2 years had problems with durability, but the 06/7s were better than the 05/06s, so this year they probably have stepped up the quality again. Stls I don't know too much about, but I hear they are a great park ski and they will probably last longer than invaders.
 
188 is huge for a park ski, especially for someone 6 ft, thats not really that tall. my friend is 6 ft, and he has 171 anthems and they do just fine, mostly cause its a wider more stable ski though. im 5 9 and i have 171 invaders and i like them much more than the 178's i tried.
 
are these 05/06 or 06/07 safe or will they delam?
