Help an old ns-er out!

okay so there was an old nser who was a huge skier like us all. he was on a lot back in 05 and 04, i forget his username. anyways when i was looking through an old thread back from 05 i saw his username and he had something like 2000 posts, and i thought to myself, i've never seen this guy on before. so i clicked on his profile and he hadn't signed on in over 30 days, but he had his aim screen name on the profile so i decided to add him and maybe talk about skiing or something. anyways i start talking to him and i asked where he lived and he's like north carolina and i said where do you ski? he replied, "well, i don't." and i'm like what?
so here's how the rest of the convo went
me:what? you don't ski...do you board?
him: well i used to ski, i even moved out to steamboat, because i loved skiing so much. but i then blew out my knee and 24 knee surgeries later, i probably won't be able to ski for the rest of my life.
me: ahh wow, that really sucks man.
him: yeah well skiing, something i onced absolutely loved, was just taken away from me in a heartbeat.

so i decided today to shoot him over a message saying 'whatsup"
me: hey man whatsup?
him: getttin faded tryin to forget about all the fucked up shit thast goin in my life, you?

he hasn't replied to any of my messages i've sent him since.
so i ask you ns, help this guy out, it seems he has a really tough life. his sn is freeskier0808.
that last convo made me feel really depressed, so please guys help this poor man out.

and he doesn't go on ns anymore because it makes him depressed to be on a site surrounded by skiing. please ns help this guy out! cheer him up
 
just keep talking to him man... it sucks that hes that depressed.. atm im recovering from knee surgery, and its unlikely ill get to do much competing in the nz season.. however im repping for a ski company so will be up the hill all the time hanging out with all my homies so it will still be a great season.... if i were him, not being able to ski wouldnt stop me being in the mountains hanging with all my mates in some way!
 
yea but it would be so hard watchin all your friends go hit some sickass setups and not be able to do anything but watch

That's pretty cool man, not his depressed thing, but the fact that you remembered someone and tried to contact him based on past legitimacy. Follow up every now and then.
 
tell him to start filming or shooting that way he can still kick it with his buddies and be in the environment. and he can also feel a similar stoke level of stomping a jump by getting a banger shot
