oi!

i switched from snowboarding to skiing this past winter. i spent most of my time in the park, but clearly i want to work on my technical skiing more and some pow. therefore i will be concentrating mainly on such next season.

i currenltly ride scratch pros as they were free. but what does everyone suggest i purchase for next season?

i am very little and very light and of course still learning! what does everyone think i should look into buying for my 06-07 season? so the real question...since i want to practice in both park and pow next season, is...for a learner, what are the best skis to learn on for such things...again im little. verly little. im 21 but im 95 lbs and 4'11.

line have a woman skis that is pretty wide, the green one I think (maybe the pink one, not sure) If you want to do pow it could be a good Idea...

comes in a 154cm. 80mm under foot, not extra wide but plenty wide enough for someone small.

i heard the missys were heavy? i dont think i could handle anything too heavy since im so little.

my scratch pros are super light but my bindings are adult bindings and they're heavy for me enough lol

my kid nipples is about the same size as you. K2's are built tough no doubt.

If wieght is concerning you, somebody can correct me if I am wrong. The ARW at 151 should be perfect. 113-81-103

kets not forget that she is small, i dont know exactly but judging by the picture a 81 underfoot would do her just fine

I'm 5'1" and ... definitely no 95, but I spent the last year learning on Celebrity Minis, and they were awesome. Really soft, and floaty enough, and they were a 153, which would be bigger than you. They're not that durable, though; black shit came off my bases every time I waxed them, and I took a huge chunk out of the topsheet like, the sixth day I rode, exposing a delightful foam core. But they're soft and poppy and fun.

Those ARWs look aweeesommmeee.

maybe, since ur just learning, u should use skis that are about right under ur forhead, right above ur nose so that it is easier to carve and stuff.

if your serious bout wantin to learn all mountain skills, go head high. its just like a rule of thumb. and im gonna second the scarlets. the foils are a pretty sick lil ski, and are PLENTY wide, and light too. with some lighter bindings (ti salomons etc) youd have a sick setup. K2s are pretty heavy, the lines are fairly middle road, sal. def. the lightest. best bet for a do it all ski for sure tho

Your skis sound like a good choice for you, but if you are getting something new I would look hard at line, lineskis.com I have tried about everything, but voikl and rossi. I think the karmas look to heavy and stiff for a lighter skier in the park though. I have had extremely good luck with line so far. Also, I would look into some light bindings. Despite skiing being a gravity sport, does make a difference, especially in the park. Stay away from marker. and solomon. And if you are serious about trees, cliffs, and pow I would get a fairly wide ski. The float better and are more stable. I think the celebrity looks amazing. And what about line's youth skis? If you think the celebrity is too big you could probably get the celebrity mini and save a ton of money.

i think its cause it stunts their growth with all the activity and the strength/muscle they build. I think its the same reason why they dont want you to lift much until you get full grown, or near it, otherwise it stunts your growth. Holson, if you know phil or tony giampa they're a perfect example of that.

gymnasts are hot...congratulations.

missys are a tad heacy. definately check out hte salomons...their construction makes for a super light sky, and the Foils are pretty wide ish for a park ski...demo that once the season starts up

line shadows for park and all mountain. (not too deep pow even)

line celebs for all mountain and pow. (dont know how they are any good for park)

The new Line womens skis. I believe Ash is on them. I have heard nothing but amazing things about them.

They are super lightweight, but offer sturdy support still. Not to mention they have a SICK graphic haha.

salomon flyers could be in consideration thoe they might not do u well in pow but u weigh nothing so u could prob use even racing skis in pow and not sink

SURFACE SKIS I believe they're coming out with a woman ski and will be made for park but yet amazing in powder, since they are made in utah, and dope graphics. Also you'll be supporting a really awesome company.

The ARW is a very dope ski...very good all over the mountain. A little heavier than something like the salomons would be but definitely a dope ski.

^^ I'm on celebrity minis and Salomon 710 Tis, and I jumped on the scale with my skis and only gained like... seven, eight pounds. They're super light.

Maybe try out a few models before making a decision... Like rent and stuff, but solys or lines would be my decision if I were a smaller girl version of myself...

look into the rossi women's scratch. super light ski, pretty flexy.. i love mine.. i think they start at 158 cm

I'd look into the Salomon Scarlett.. the female version of the 1080 Foil.. solidly built but still light ski that should do everything you want to do

hey girl! i know how you feel. im 21 and 5'0 100 lbs. im on line 1260s right now in a 153 and i like them, but next season im gettin the ARW...it comes in a 151!!! the invader comeins in a 151 too i belive or a 153 i cant remember. i almost got the missys too cuz they were in a 148 and they were less expensive cuz they are a jr ski. good luck!!
