So my extended Family lives in Bay City and Grand Rapids...I'll prolly be coming out in the next week or so to visit for a while, I want to get a taste of midwest skiing.

So what are the resorts closets to these two places. And if anyone can hook up rides?

Also how long do your ski seasons last, incase they want me to move there with them? What REAL mountains are close by also.

go to Nubs Nob in harbor springs mi. or if you want to make a longer drive then come to Marquette Mountain.

Nubs is like 4 hours away from there isnt it? crystal is closer i think... but i dn about the small mountains. Nubs and Boyne are probably some of the best in the LP

in gr the is cannonsburg. the is a nice 40ft double kink, up-down-flat and a 35-40ft table

I live in Bay City. Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands are a good 3-3.5 hour drive and Boyne Mountain is about half an hour closer. Around Bay City you have Apple Mountain. It's about a 15 minute drive and the biggest shithole ever.

well I ski apple mountain a bit during the week and some weekends but I like to head to Nubs Nob. It's the best in the lower peninsula.

dont listen to them, if you take the highway to nubs its onle 2.45 or 3 hours, and its worth it.

hey man if you end up in G.R. you should think about caberfea. its prob only about a 2 hour drive max. they have 4 rails now and two tables. a 30 footer and another small one. peace

So I'm going to be in Bay City, from Tommarrow (wed 9) for two weeks to wed the 23rd.

I'll probably go to Nubs a couple of times...maybee even for the friday night fight, and maybee Crystal for the comp there...then apple mountain the rest of the time.
