I need some help. My best friend (a girl) is in the rehab in Utah. Its max lockdown but i can still send her shit. I just sent her a package with some cookies and a letter last week becayse she finally calle me and told me where she was. (they just started letting her call) Her bithday is in the middle of december and i want to get her something nice. Can you guys help me think of shit to get her. She means alot to me and money really is no object thanks.

keep in mind that its maxx lockdown. she cant leave campus till spring break when she comes home for a week. the school is surrounded by barbed wire. so unless its a go kart for her to drive down the halls no.

ok... on a more serious note... dont get her a go kart.. derrr. think about what she likes. in your mind, what do you think would make her smile the most. personally im thinking of a heartfelt letter to let her kow that youll always be there for her. im sure she's having a rough time so that would give her a little lift.

so maybe, a great homemade CD, just think of alot of personal stuff that you can make that would bring her joy. and then buy her something really fun.

yeah the CD thing was a good idea. i dunno if she likes to read, but there's a lot of good books that you could send her. it would help her pass the time too. just don't send those cheezy 'chicken soup for the...soul' books. m

maybe make her a little collage book thing and have her friends write things in it for her. but that's more of a girly thing to do.

Get her a good book. I saw that Anthony Kedis has an autobiography called Scar Tissue. That might be a good choice if she is into music. I know Kedis struggled with addiction, and it might have some relavance and insight to what she is going through right now.

well, the first and most important thing that i would do is write her a letter, and im not talking about a 1 page letter im talking bordeline story. catch her up on things where you live and how her friends are doing, and tell her how much she means to you and how much you and everyone else would miss her if she were to die from an over dose. i would make it 5 or 6 pages long, it will take a while, but when you are done and she reads it and you hear back from her what she thinks of it, you will be very supprised, when your in a place like that anything to pass the time is great, especaly if it is from someone who realy realy cares about you and they are letting you know it.

as far as getting her a gift goes i know that music plays a huge role in my life and influnces me a lot, a cd is nice, but the music will get old after a while. even if she has never played a lick in her life, buy her a guitar. and get her some appropreate music books, if she has never played, get her ones that teach her, and if she can play, get her stuff that she likes to listen to. i know when i am looking to pass the time or i am feeling down i pick up one of my guitars and start playing, and all the time and my troubles seem to fade away.
