Help a brother out

I'm relativley new to the sport, I have rented twice before and am considering buying skis for free skiing. I am 6 foot 1 and 240lbs. What would be a decent cheap pair of skis for that? Help a brother out.

PE's in the longest length? Those might be a good decision just because they are cheap and are a good beginner twin. And they are pretty stiff so with your size it will be alright.

Surface Watch Lifes would be good. Perform about the same as PEs and retail for $200 less. Not nearly as ubiquitous though, so they migth be difficult to find.

I'm about your size. When I first started out I got on some Chronic Wides 187. They were the perfect size and flex for someone your size. If you can't find them now, look at the the Public Enemies in a 179. I'd even go for like a Scratch BC in a 185. Those skis are burly enough for ya and manageable enough for a new person to the sport.
