Yo guys, I need help with getting smooth slow-motion. I've tried with FCE (which is all I have) and I know I can't get good results by just slowing down 50% in the timeline. Cinema tools seems to be the way to go but I dont have that. I hoping you guys can help me out..Is there any free thirdparty progams? Or a workflow to use? I'veied JES and havn't got great results from it yet.

Thanks

Conforming 60p to 30p is the best way to get 50%, try doing 60% it should look better. Make sure frame blending is off.

i'll try that out. Should I conform In MPEG streamline, when converting my footage or will FCE do it straight up?

I dunno if you can do it in streamclip, in FCP you can use cinema tools to conform 60p to 30p/24p.

MPEGstreamclip only converts; it does not conform. Use it to transcode your footage to its native framerate and resolution. Then, conform it to 23.98fps in Cinema Tools. 29.97fps works too if you are trying to get the "skater cam" look.
