Help! 2008 Armada Pipe Cleaners Problem!

Sooo, I've never gotten any of my ski stuff paid for by my rents. Well this year, I picked my beaten ARWs off the ground in my room before a day of shredding, and the binding fell off.

I ski everyday (park crew and ski instructor), so I kinda needed a new pair of skis. I decided to bring up the subject with the rents, and ask for a cheap pair for xmas. They told me to write down skis that I wanted and bindings and maybe I'll get something. So I did.

I wrote down fujatives, silencers, a pair of last years AR6s I found, and the thrusters. Oh, and I snuck in the pipe cleaners kind of as a joke/stretch.

Welllll what do you know. They bought me the pipe cleaners. They aren't mounted yet, and they bought them at this shop we always go to. So here's my problem..

1. I feel bad having such nice skis and using them at such a shitty ass mountain

2. I keep hearing of their comp (racing) base, and how soft it is. Yes, I'm a girl, but no, I'm not small. I'm 5'10" and weigh 135

3. All I hit are rails. Hardly ever pipe, hardly ever jumps. I just love rails (oh gosh sexual innuendo)

Since I'm not that small, will these bases get fucked from me hitting rails? Will it really be that terrible? And is it worth keeping these, when I would downgrade to a fujative? I can easily go to the shop and switch them with a different ski.

i think you will be ok with the pipecleaners, but if it doesnt make a difference switch down to fujatives and use the money for bindings or other ski stuff.

My understanding of pipe cleaners is the bottom do get trashed but only to the point that they are not super fast and great for pipe, they still are nice skis just minus their intended speed boost

i had pc last year as my rail ski. hit rail hard all day with them for about 30days of hard rail abuse. Had edge cracks and what not but nothing poped out. And this years pc have thicker edges so you will be fine and you will love them. I promise you that

i would amost argue that much of the rail damage to skis comes from technique.if you have your rail skills on point then the PC's should be fine!

And as invaderskier said, they beefed up the edges on this years PCs so all should be good

^ Its interesting that your Status is: "LOOKING FOR A FUCKIN GIRLFRIEND"

You really know how to get the women dont you...

Fucking retard

his post count is also ironic!

don't worry about it michelle! just go out there and enjoy them!

Keep the pipe cleaners! They are durable and you aren't really all that heavy, so the bases wouldn't get damaged as much as with someone heavier.

agreed. if you had said you were 6' 5" 210 lbs people might be telling you to lay off the rails with those. the only things i would consider in swapping these out for another pair would be the flex and mounting point. fuji's, invaders, or ar6's might suit you better for rails, its all personal preference though.

It doesn't matter where you go haha - saying "I'd like you to hit my rail" just won't get you women, forum or not.

that depends, if you're spinning on and disastering, there's not much you can do, you're gonna get edge cracks.

honestly silence why are you making such a big deal out of it he was making a joke. obviously it was a bit crude but I'm sure he didn't mean anything from it.
