it seeems like that nowadays the old staples of helmet manufacturing are waning in popularity i.e. boeri leedom and carrera and now more ppl are rockin RED and giro, or at least i am now, anyone else notice this...

Yep and I think it is because fo the newschool movment I have a Boeri and it get so hot hiking but my bro has the giro and they never get warm. And they are just cooler with stuff like the speakers alreeady in the helmet.

 
I like my Giro because it has mad vents, and doesn't get to toasty when hiking, or building a kicker or whatever. And you can close the vents when it gets cold.

everyone should wear a helmet cause the last time i went skiing i was wearing a hat for the first time n i broke my skull so now i cant go skiing at all until next year so im real pissed off and i got real lucky cause its just broken and im normal but it i was wearing my helmet than id still be able to ski this year

 
I have a pro-tec b2 with the sxp foam. Fits nice, looks rad, and can take multiple impacts. Plus it was half the price of a Giro.

I dont know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
 
ha...my grio doesnt have mad venting....mad max snow...its the same as the mountain biking one, but all the vents are closed up..

i have a basic boeri helmet from last year...it looks like hell but it keeps me out of a retarded persons place

Ive got the RED a.k.a. Burton skycap, said to be the lightest helmet on the market, I like it, it's small enough that I can put my hood over it when it snows.

its so wierd, i was unloading a box of new Marker helmets, and they are definitely trying to copy Giro's helmets. They're really light, good venting (same venting patterns), rubber strap snap thingy in the back...wierd stuff

well, i stopped buying Carrera cause they just didnt fit properly. early this season i went out and bought a Giro Fuse helmet, and its the first helmet thats comftorable and actually fits well.

dylhole are you saying seth morrision, simon dumont and the hundreds of other skiers that where helmets are ? i dont know man, it just seems like a smart idea to me. i only where mine when im hucking or sking backcountry but whering one all the time is a good idea. i have a giro9 but its starting to get small on me. i think i might by a R.E.D. helmet when i get some cash
