helmets

I've been skiing without a helmet for the last 2 seasons but prior to that i did ride with one. this season i bought a helmet again and its been fucking with my spins. 180's are fine and 3's are ok but once i start 5's i get off axis. this didn't happen when i didn't wear a helmet so i'm wondering if its all in my head or if someone has had a similar experience.

It's definetly in your head I don't see how an extra pound on your head could throw you off-axis.

In your head

I think its all in ur head but If it is the helmet that throws you off axis at least you have something to protect your noggin if you land on it.

helmets dont narrow your feild of view and they way next to nothing so im also guessing its in your head, funny thing though ive never heard of something like that. Keep the helmet on though, you will get used to it and you'll be safer.

It's in your head, and I agree with ECfreeski about the whole security thing, I wouldn't even dare spinning 3's and 5's w/o my helmet let alone 7's

you may have developed a bad habit over the summer, like winding up or throwing it wierd, which is the real cause instead of blaming your helmet. just a suggestion

binding destruction count: 3 so far this season, one pair of lines and two pairs of rossis: what will be next?

^^haha ya i go into the switch bio 3 every now and then too

Ian, you're just sketchy. I've skied with a helmet forever. And when were you trying 5's this year? haha.

I dont know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

yep, i used to not wear one a lot, but now that i'm spinning more, i feel like i really need to wear it.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of

arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly

proclaiming...'Wow! What a ride!'

i tried a couple at brule nordberg, btw brule was the suck. i couldn't stomp shit though
