helmets?

ok i just had an idea while looking for a new head piece and i want it to be cool...i need some input from anyone who rides bmx or a dirtbike...whats the difference between ski/snowboard helmets and the ones you wear for bikes/motocross? there are some pretty sick motorbike helmets that look nasty, but i dont want to just go out and get one without and info.

I'm guessing your talking about full face helmets? Motocross helmets will be far tougher than a ski one. The government stadards are pretty darn strick for motorbike helmets. There will be no vents and a visor as standard, it will also be quite large.

Mountain bike ones are probably still tougher than ski ones. They are lighter than motocross helmets but have more vents so may be colder. It will also have a visor and will be slightly smaller but some are slightly odd looking. Not sure about the helmets that matt hoffman etc wear for BMX vert. Im my opinion troy lee helmets are the best.

These will all look better than race ski helmets not sure how they compare to the sort that seth morrison wears but hope it helps.

motocross ones will be heavy and look really gay skiing, just buy a snow helmet like a giro or protech.

My crazy mate just bought a motocross one. He has no style but they don't look that gay. he even wears it peakless.
