Helmets

Ok so i have a receptor bug and i wear and thin skull cap beanie and goggles under it with all the padding taken out. For some reason since i have done this i still feel like the helmet sits up and isnt deep enough. if i am charging really hard and the neck strap isnt tight the helmet even slides back on my head! i have been thinking of getting the giro shiv because of the subliner and nice fit. is it deeper and better with beanie and goggs under? thanks NS

It totally depends on the shape of your head. Some people have rounder heads while others have more of an oval shaped head. So try a bunch of helmets on that have the removable ear pads, and then you can determine which one suits you best.

pulling out the padding renders the helmet useless, why even bother wearing one then?

he doesn't meen the shock abosorbing padding, but rather those small strips of "padding" that are removible.

the only pads in your helmet that arent protective pads are the ear cover pads. everything else is an essential part of your helmets functionality.
